I loved the elegance of the space, with its midnight blue walls, dark wood furniture & gold accents, blended with touches of Carribean art & accessories. It all works so well together to create a warm & welcoming ambiance.

The food was flavorful & plentiful! We went with the table d'hôte, but in hindsight, had we known the plates were so big, we might have shared some plates, or opted for their tasting menu. We saw it go by & it looked delicious. We had the cod fritters & the jerk ribs to start. The fritters come with a really tasty & nicely spiced pikliz. For mains, we had the fried chicken & the griot. Everything was tasty, & the service was friendly & attentive.

I felt a bit disappointed with the cocktail. The glass was half-filled - about five sips total - & tasted mostly of juice. Then again, I'm not much of a cocktail girl, so this is just one opinon ;-)

All in all, a good spot. If you're looking for beautiful ambiance, & lots of tasty food, I'd definitely recommend Kwizinn. We'll be back!

Merci beaucoup à Claudia! J'ai choisi d'aller à ce restaurant par hasard avec mes 2 amies & j'ai été très satisfaite. J'ai aimé l'ambiance, la nourriture était extraordinaire & j'ai aimé les cocktails. Les serveurs sont courtois & gentils aussi. Je recommande à tout le monde d'aller faire un tour. Je donne un 10/10 . Il me reste d'y retourner pour les brunchs!😊

Expérience décevante. La nourriture est bonne mais pleins de couacs dans le service:
1 - /! Tips : Pour rappel une loi est passée cette année obligeant les commerces à proposer le tips sur le montant HORS TAXES. Visiblement, cela ne s'applique pas chez Kwizinn.
2 - La madame nous ayant accueilli n'était pas sympa & nous a répondu très sèchement & refusé lorsque nous lui avons demandé une table plus agréable (nous étions dans l'entrée à 1m de la sono). Après avoir demandé à nouveau ayant vu d'autres tables libres (je précise qu'on avait réservé) auprès d'un autre serveur, ils trouvent une table bien mieux mais on sent qu'on les saoule (surtout la madame!)
3 - Carte pas à jour - On m'a donné un ancien menu en m'expliquant que la différence de 10$ sur le dégustation vient du fait que le restaurant a augmenté la taille des portions. Mouais....
4 - Service trop rapide. Nous souhaitions profiter du cocktail & de nos accras en entrée. Au bout de 10min, on se retrouve avec tous les plats sur la table. Comme une impression de se faire expédier & à peine la place pour souper....

The best!! The service is always 10/10, the staff is super friendly, attentive & make every visit feel special. The food is consistently amazing, they have such great cocktails, mocktails, & vegetarian options too. I've been here many times & it never disappoints. Definitely one of my go to spots & I'll always keep coming back!

Everything about this restaurant is just WOW! The food is mouth watering; from flavor to presentation & even variety, it was just perfect. Every cocktail I had was gorgeous & well balanced! They even offer tasty mocktails for those who don't drink. The staff is so kind & the service is quick! Need I mention that there was a soul/jazz band there playing live music?! The ambience is wonderful & I highly recommend for all ages. Would be perfect for a date night or even a night out with friends. A true gem!

Caribbean food with a flair! Excellent costumer service, flavours that have you daydreaming & quality ingredients. The owners & chefs pour so much love into their dishes that it's impossible to leave unsatisfied. I will continue to recommend this place to every foodie! Tried the duck patty this time & it was absolutely divine. Comfort in a bite. The cocktails were also exquisite, where every sip had me closing my eyes haha. Honourable mentions: Great variety of mocktails & vegetarian/pescatarian options which is highly appreciated. Can't wait to return!

Our dinner at Kwizinn was exceptional! The cocktails & food were delicious. We chose their special price fixe table (Table d'hôte) option. The oxtail empanada, ceviche, fried pork griot, picanha steak were excellent. There was also live music - a mix of jazz, samba, & Caribbean music - which made dinner extra nice. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for dinner in Old Montreal, just one block away from the most crowded locations there, but close to everything.

We had an amazing time after the F1 races with the team at Kwizinn. Hospitable , knowledgeable & e training to say the least. Our bartenders knowledge on cocktails was superb leaving her a dealers choice option for my first cocktail & she did not disappoint. This a new location for them & well laid out & designed . Speak easy downstairs for late night event . Well.done. I'll be back ☘?🤙

Je pense que les commentaires résument bien. En gros, vous payez pour le cadre du vieux-port. La nourriture est correct, mais les portions & le goût ne suivent pas le prix. Les cocktails sont bons mais chers. Excellent service sinon.

Amazing! Vibe, decor, food, cocktails were all perfect! The octopus carpaccio was absolutely delicious!!! So much so that we went back a second time. It was the BEST dish we had during our stay in Montreal. I'm still thinking about it! We also had the griot which was very flavorful & not too fatty. Highly recommend Kwizinn! You'll eat well & feel happy doing it!

Restaurant bien localisé. La décoration est très belle, très cosy & sympa. La tenanciere était accueillante, gentille & professionnelle. Elle était également a l´ecoute en venant nous demander si tout était bien lors du repas.
Les cocktails étaient bons mais pas donné.
La nourriture était très bonne, le poulet était succulent & la sauce aussi mais difficile à manger avec les couverts. Le riz était très bon aussi & le burger a aussi été apprécié.

My partner & I went here on a Saturday night after landing in Montreal. The service was great & the food was very tasty. The bao was really good! I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great African/caribbean food. The cocktail choices were also great & they were very tasty. The night we were there, there was a live DJ which was pleasantly surprising!

Très bonne cuisine ! Super restaurant. Haute qualité des produits. Cuisson parfaite du griot & du cabri ! Nous étions dimanche nous avons eu des musiciens cubains en live c'était top. Nous recommandons ce restaurant. Manger de la bonne nourriture des caraïbes par -15 degrés nous a bien réchauffé ! Le riz djondjon était excellent aussi ! Nous avions pris le menu dégustation ... Faire confiance au chef ! Très bons cocktails aussi 😉
