We ordered kamikaze & the paradise roll, it was excellent. Really impressed. Very fast service & friendly staffs who helped us choose our rolls.
regarding to response of owner / manager :
So the fact that your employee messed up my order , placed at 12h23 ( if your check the receipts ( may I remind you she produced two separate invoices pretty much both same time ) i had to come back after 20 mn & asked very politely if it was going to be any longer as I was in a hurry . Yes for sure she is new its obvious as she was about to give me the poke bowl of someone else as she confused the 6 on the beeper with a 9 . Then she was asked by two gentlemen where were their order as it was taking too long too ( that were their words not mine ) then she discovered that my order was still not done & went to try to help your two chefs , that obviously took another 5mn ( notice my original order before my intervention was not even ready after 20mn & no it was not very busy at your stand so no excuses) at that stage my wife was already near finished with her food & was going to head back to work , so what was the point of me eating somewhere alone when i came to eat with her . As far as refund , yes I did get refunded on your cash register screen but still tonight we have not got the money back on the 2 gift cards that your poorly trained employee used . Anyways if you do find normal that a customer waits around 25 mn for an avocado sushi & crab roll , good for you.
By the way , not that i m trying to teach you anything as you already seem to have it all figured out , but as you kindly pointed out about my mature personality as you kindly added it in your response further down ,'she was new' & you left her in charge not knowing how to use the balance left over on the gift card ( & yes there is a way to do it it's been confirmed by the foufou floor manageress as there is a way everywhere else) . To make it Worse she was not being able to follow up on orders as customers were waiting & even near enough giving away the wrong items so you are lets face it the one at fault cause I personally would not leave on her own a new employee run the floor at lunch time as guess what at 12h23 it is still lunch time & that's when you should be present should you not?
I did notice that when the foufou manageress got called out you reappeared very quickly , yes your employee was very sweet & smiling but not efficient due to her lack of training by no-one else to blame than yourself.
To conclude , I saw you coming back & i knew you you knew exactly where i was seating therefore i shall return the compliment you made when writing back to me earlier on the fact that i apeared to you as a mature man .
As you are yourself( for what I saw from far ) seems to be a mature man , shouldn't you have aproach me just to defuse the situation after all you are running the place or am I mistaken? I
was not rude to your employee just disapointed at the very bad experience so there was no threat to you , instead of that you left the beautiful smiling Senegalese floor manageress (that I unfortunately didn't get the name) apologise & solve your bad management issues .
So dear mr X , your apologies are accepted , cause I guess that's what you intend to do with your response did you not ?
Let's hope the so called refund on the gift cards ever come back cause by the look of it yourself are not sure on how to enter a pre-definite amount on a gift card associated to a credit card payment for one bill ....maybe you should ask for some training on the matter to then help train your employees.....just some food for thoughts !
Service terrible it took 20 mn to get one avocado sushi & a roll, the cashier didn't even know how to put the left over of a royalmount gift card on the rest of the bill she forced us to use two cards so we ended up with two different card half used instead of finishing up the first one completely & paying the left over by credit card or even the other gift card ....
They changed the new menu & have a lot of choice, crab roll with kimchi sauce so delicious, platters sashimi is fresh & beautiful , chirashi salmon ( salmon poke) is great, we will come back again
The Sushi place is in the New Royal Mount Mall in the food area, which is a fairly nice open area. The sushi was okay, but the California roll had fake crab & for the price of 5 pieces at $12, seemed very high. The Sashimi was good & the tuna was not a florescent pink, which was nice to see, however at $5.50 per piece this was quite an extravagant price for mall sushi & very moderate portion size. The Unagi Nigiri was also very expensive at $6 per piece. The staff was friendly, but I had to ask a second time for my Miso soup & was the only customer at the time. The cost is way too high & the quality not quite equal to the price point. I would not be returning due to the cost. My thoughts shared.
