Review Summary

Kishu is seen as a solid sushi and poke spot with fresh, made-to-order fish and several standout dishes like chirashi and signature rolls, and praise for fast, friendly service in a mall setting; however, several reviews call the price high for the portion size and note inconsistencies such as overly wet or compacted rice, a fishy smell on some pieces, sauces that overwhelm the dish, and at times disappointing miso soup, leading to mixed judgments on value; still, many diners would return for quality, convenience, and reliable execution.

I work in the mall & end up here fairly often. For a sushi spot in a high-end mall, it's honestly pretty solid. The prices aren't really different from what you'd pay at most sushi places elsewhere, & the food has always been good when I've gone. Service has always been smooth too - I've never had any issues. Nothing over the top, but reliable & convenient if you're already in the area.

The Sushi place is in the New Royal Mount Mall in the food area, which is a fairly nice open area. The sushi was okay, but the California roll had fake crab & for the price of 5 pieces at $12, seemed very high. The Sashimi was good & the tuna was not a florescent pink, which was nice to see, however at $5.50 per piece this was quite an extravagant price for mall sushi & very moderate portion size. The Unagi Nigiri was also very expensive at $6 per piece. The staff was friendly, but I had to ask a second time for my Miso soup & was the only customer at the time. The cost is way too high & the quality not quite equal to the price point. I would not be returning due to the cost. My thoughts shared.
