Kinton Ramen at Carrefour Laval is a welcome addition to the North Shore dining scene, delivering the same quality that made me a fan of this chain pre-COVID.
Atmosphere:
The decor truly transports you to Japan. Thoughtfully designed with authentic Japanese elements, the space creates an immersive dining experience that sets the mood perfectly for enjoying a bowl of ramen. It strikes the right balance between modern & traditional, making it both visually appealing & comfortable.
Service:
Staff were friendly & accommodating from the moment we arrived. They provided a high chair for our little one without hesitation, showing the same attention to families as they do to solo diners & couples. Service was efficient & warm throughout our meal.
Food:
This is where Kinton continues to shine. The ramen is consistently excellent, with rich, flavorful broths & perfectly cooked noodles. What I particularly love are their monthly special ramen offerings-creative, seasonal bowls that keep the menu exciting & give regulars a reason to return. The quality has remained high since my pre-COVID visits, which is a testament to their commitment to standards.
Verdict:
For ramen lovers on the North Shore, Kinton at Carrefour Laval is a must-visit. It brings authentic Japanese ramen culture to Laval with excellent food, immersive atmosphere, & friendly service. Whether you are a longtime fan or a first timer, it delivers a satisfying experience.
Never had so much food in my life. Did the challenge to finish my entire bowl & swear im full for the next 2 weeks. Service was amazing. Nice staff. Great food
Great ramen & excellent service! We will definitely return.
Sorry for the picture of the empty bowl, it was too good 😊
I have been eating at Kinton shops for about 8 years now & most of the time try to dine in. This was the first time doing take
out at this location. Honestly I was disappointed when I got home & put the broth in the bowl to see that it wasn't enough. I wish they would have put more broth....
Wow amazing service by sabrina! Wow you guys missing out on this amazing service! Dont forget the cooks they make the best food …. Could eat 6 bowls
This is a pocket friendly restaurant with very good ramen options. The ambience & service is excellent. However, the portions of meat in a bowl of ramen is quite less.
Kinton Ramen used to be my go-to place for great ramen. Nothing specific to say about their food; the karaage is excellent. I'd consider myself a regular customer, visiting at least 2-3 times per month. However, in the past few years, the service has gone downhill. It's now so bad that I waited 45 minutes for a ramen & a rice bowl & ended up walking out. They have around 10 employees in the restaurant, but nobody looks at you or pays attention to customers. People always wait for a glass of water, their food, or their tab. I will give a chance to other restaurants, but I don't think I will go back to the one in Laval again.
First of all, the place was packed on a Monday evening which is an indication in itself. The atmosphere is lovely but subtle. It was literally my first time eating ramen...Took beef bowl with the entree of 4 pork gyoza, came with a soft drink for 26$ . Other people at the table had chicken & spicy & vege variations. We all loved our meal. The star for me was the beef, so tender & seared on the grill, it was perfection.
Need a better service during rush hour, usually it's pretty good until you get to the rush hours. Last time I was there, they placed me right in front of the prep station (not the best place when you are famished to be honest...), it took a little over an hour until I got my bowl & sitting there in front, just seeing bowls after bowls leave, it's not helping... My appetizer took a while to do, then once finished, it took forever for my ramen. All I saw was them stacking bowls & making 3-4 tables at once, also serve them all at once. I'm here wondering, why aren't they just making table by table? I do understand, it does help yes, but me, being alone & right in front of them, I'm starving to death here, couldn't they just make my bowl quick & just give? No, I had to wait another 5 to 10 mins for them to prep the other bowls for the other tables... So If you ever go there, avoid rush hours.
It's just a noodles with 2 thin slice meat the bowl not even big but not full.
