About

Kenkomi integrates Japanese and Vietnamese culinary traditions into a singular fusion concept. Fresh sushi rolls and sashimi selections anchor the menu, providing precise textures and clean flavors. The kitchen prepares aromatic pho and savory banh mi, utilizing authentic ingredients to maintain consistency across the entire selection. Diners encounter a minimalist environment designed for efficient meal service. Signature broth-based dishes utilize traditional aromatics and high-quality proteins to emphasize depth and complexity. Each plate reflects a commitment to structural balance and essential seasoning profiles. The menu functions as a comprehensive bridge between Southeast Asian street food culture and the disciplined craftsmanship of Japanese preparation techniques.

Kenkomi is widely regarded as a hidden gem in Chateauguay, praised for its authentic and delicious Japanese cuisine, particularly the flavorful ramen and fresh appetizers. Most diners highlight the high quality of ingredients, the cozy and relaxing atmosphere, and the attentive, friendly service provided by the staff. While a few guests expressed concerns regarding portion sizes for certain dishes, the pricing, or isolated service issues, the overall consensus is overwhelmingly positive, with many patrons describing it as a must-visit destination for anyone seeking fresh, healthy, and expertly prepared meals in a welcoming environment.

Très belle découverte. Cocktails, Ramen & saumon sizzling excellents. Nous étions 14 & tout le monde a adoré son expérience. La déco & l'ambiance super aussi.

Was there for supper on Saturday evening. I was looking forward to the Tonkotsu ramen. Was disappointed. The pork in my ramen was actually just bacon. About 4 strips of bacon that I counted. Here I was thinking I would get a nice piece of round Chashu pork, but no; it was actually just bacon strips. I've never encountered that before. The broth was good. 3 star review for the disappointing'short cut' on the Ramen. The appetizers we ordered & overall service & ambience were good.

I've eaten in the restaurant & I would have easily gave it 5 star, but today I ordered the ramen.
Why is it so spicy? Why is it not mentioned ANYWHERE that it would be?
You would think it would be listed in the ingredients just like everything else is.
Will have to throw it away, could only eat 5 bites in total.

A real shame.

The best ramen I have ever had. I got the chicken teriyaki tonkotsu ramen. They are very generous with the amount of chicken. Also I hate boiled eggs but this one looked well done so I tried it & it was amazing. I have to hold myself back from coming back here everyday.
Edit: I learned that the owner makes the tonkotsu broth authentically by cooking pork bones for 10 hours, no wonder it's so delicious & flavourful.

We ordered takeout & the way they packaged it was amazing, to keep it fresh. The service was super nice & super grateful of what I thought was a less generous tip of 10%. Unfortunately the Takoyaki was soggy by the time I got home but it was still really good(I'm a Takoyaki Fein). The beef ramen tasted amazing & not too expensive for it's quality. Probably the best Japanese spot on Châteauguay

The food was good, but a bit expensive depending on what you get. I would recommend either a ramen or a general jap, because the portions are good & worth the price. I however got a sizzling teriyaki chicken & the portion was very small & I wouldn't say it was worth the price. The coffee was also very expensive. For a small cup it was $3, which for that price I can go to Tims & get a large coffee. Other than that, it was a decent place. Nothing extraordinary, but not too bad either.

Very impressed. With the bar, a large variety of cuisine (seafood, ramen, pho etc) & the high level of service. This would be the perfect place for a small business meeting.
