Katsu Sushi is described as fresh and flavorful with dishes made to order and a warm, welcoming ambiance that makes the dining experience comfortable. The service is often fast and attentive, with many praising the polite staff and efficient kitchen, though a few visits note some variability and moments when the smiles or attentiveness are lacking. The all-you-can-eat option is frequently highlighted for good value and solid quality, with particular praise for sashimi and specialty items like takoyaki and the flame-seared sushi, and several reviews mention the option to bring your own wine until licensing changes affected this. On the downside, some comments point to inconsistencies such as nigiri with a bit too much rice, sticky tables, and occasional cleanliness concerns like dust on ceilings or fixtures. A change in ownership is cited as improving some aspects of the experience while also restricting alcohol access in others. Overall, the place emerges as a strong sushi choice with fresh fish, fair prices, and a lively yet calm setting that makes repeat visits likely.
I've previously always enjoyed how fresh & delicious the food is, but I had a very disappointing experience here on Valentine's Day when I brought my partner - it seemed like everything was frozen/premade, including getting frozen salmon, cold grilled eel, & the garlic beef which was just browned & has no sear whatsoever. I'm very saddened that what was my favourite sushi place appears to have either cut corners for an important holiday, or simply gone downhill altogether.

Food was very average & the service was not great. We went on a Saturday at lunch & the selection was very limited compared to other acye sushi places.
Le service est bien, par contre les sushis ne sont plus comme avant. Très caoutchouteux, payé 55$ pour manger des sushis qui étaient très ordinaire. Aucun goût dsl
It was my first time here & the food was really good! I was impressed that they even had takoyaki, & the sushi flambé ended up being my favorite. The waiting time for food was surprisingly fast, & the place itself feels very cozy & warm.
The only small downside was that dessert wasn't free, but everything else was great.
Overall: 8.7/10 😋
Since the new owner reopened, the food is on another level! Fresh, delicious sushi & the best crispy, juicy fried chicken wings😋😋😋. Love that we can bring our own wine🍷🍷🍷 - this place is now a favourite!
Bought $400 worth of sushi for an event. We had multiple dietary restrictions that they handled no problem. Gave us extra chopsticks & cups. Helped me bring the sushi to the car… & the sushi was excellent. Five stars well deserved!
visited them during the re-opening special & was quite impressed the quality of the sushi considering the price! They have a great variety of sushi dishes & all of our items arrived within minutes of ordering them despite being quite busy! I would recommend sticking to their sushi as some of the other menu items like sesame beef aren't as impressive. One thing I'd want on their menu is seaweed salad as it's a classic but I would gladly come back again if I was in the area!
Normally we go to a similar restaurant in the Toronto area called August 8 which for us, is the best place for all-you-can-eat sushi. In comparison, this place was pretty good. Food seemed fresh & was very quick to arrive to the table. They say the cleanliness of a restaurant's washroom is a reflection of the cleanliness of the kitchen & the washroom in this place was not the cleanest. August 8 also includes many free dessert items including several fancy ice cream flavors whereas this place has hardly any dessert choices & most are charged extra (not a deal breaker as you usually have no room for dessert after eating so many main course dishes lol).
