Wonderful cafe right next to downtown Montreal! It has a peaceful atmosphere & is always cozy, clean, & comfortable-perfect for spending time with friends. The menu is quite varied, with a great selection of coffee drinks. Whether you're stopping by in the morning or coming for lunch, it's a great spot.
My absolute favorite is the Norwegian breakfast with salmon, avocado, & scrambled eggs. If you're more into bacon & sausages, the Ukrainian breakfast would be a great match. The staff is always nice & helpful.

Really great meal. We came at peak hours & the staff were under a lot of stress due to number of clients yet they remained extremely professional even when faced with some Karen customers. The food & lattes are amazing. Our favourite was the smoked salmon croissant. They speak both English & French very well. Music is soft in the background & not distracting. J'ai adoré mon expérience chez Cafeterra. L'ambiance est cosy, parfaite pour se détendre ou travailler un peu. Le personnel est très aimable & attentionné. Le café est excellent - riche en goût & parfaitement préparé. Les pâtisseries maison étaient délicieuses, surtout le croissant aux amandes !😋 Je recommande vivement cet endroit à tous les amateurs de bon café & d'ambiance tranquille.🫶🏻Voir plus

We had high hopes for Cafeterra but unfortunately, our experience fell short. The space is charming, but the food & service were inconsistent & left much to be desired. The London Fog lacked flavor-very mild & underwhelming. The pesto pasta looked pale & tasted just as bland, with the texture leaning toward overcooked as it practically dissolved with every bite.
Dishes came out at completely different times, & one croissant didn't arrive until nearly 20 minutes after the rest of the food. We had to stand up & ask about it after waiting 25 minutes with no update, & the staff at the counter showed no concern or apology-just a casual'it got missed.' The lack of customer service from the counter staff was disappointing, with no greeting or friendliness at all.
The salads were also underdressed-felt like eating plain lettuce. The avocado toast with shrimp was decent (7/10), but still missing a flavorful punch. The croissant, when it finally came, was actually quite good (8/10) & came with a tasty sauce.
To their credit, our server-a young woman-was fast, helpful, & the one saving grace of the visit. She apologized multiple times & even brought over three macaroons as a gesture, which was appreciated. Still, the overall experience had already been affected.
Unfortunately, this visit was a miss, & I wouldn't return. Hopefully, the management addresses the service gaps & consistency in food quality going forwardVoir plus

We wanted a late afternoon coffee & treat. There treats looked good but mostly sold out of anything we wanted. The food looked amazing but we didn't try anything. I ordered a cappuccino & Americano, price were typical. You get a table number & a waitress bring you your order. They brought the cappuccino but the Americano they forgot completely… we had to go in & ask for it. Waitress forgot it. With that said the drinks were fantastic once we got them. The latte was just ok tasting but the caffeine from it didnt make me feel anxious like it would from the states, so that was nice. The matcha was very bland, not very sweet nor matcha tasting really.. I like it much stronger. Lady at the register was friendly, though. & the fresh lemonade & lemon cake were good.Voir plus

Visiting from Toronto for the weekend & found this gem of a spot. Excellent, friendly staff & the breakfast hit the spot! Especially appreciated the staff accommodating my allergies & taking the time to check in with me while I was dining to make sure I was happy with my dish. This is customer service done right.
