Kalbi Korean BBQ, grill and sushi all you can eat - Our concept its Paper grilling - the newest invention in Korean BBQ. Korean paper BBQ: Paper BBQ is an innovation in South Korean cuisine. The grill is covered with a special paper, absorbing the excess oil produced by the meat without losing its flavor and nutritional value. Hence, the food keeps its moisture and spices. The paper sheet is disposable, that helps to retain excess fat and cleanliness of the grill. This is a Elegant and comfortable decorate restaurant, and the dim light effect which makes the environment relaxing and perfect for a date, friends, group party (2 private rooms for 20 and 30 people) and families! Also we have the ventilation system for each table that exhausts the smoke from the grill, very enjoyable.

Underwhelming Experience, nothing special we decided to give it a try to see if it was better than other spots we've been to. Unfortunately, it turned out to be disappointing.
The sushi quality just wasn't there, & the dessert lacked any appeal, though we still gave it a try. One unique feature is the robot that delivers your orders, which was a fun & interesting touch.
Portion sizes were decent, but the price didn't match the quality. You could definitely enjoy better food elsewhere for the same cost.
The atmosphere was rather dull, although it was quiet which some may find relaxing.View more

I went last night with some friends to celebrate a birthday. We had a fantastic time. Wait staff was super cool. Food was great. Service was fast despite being really busy.

Mon conjoint & moi sommes allé au Kalbi Bbq dans le quartier chinois de Montréal pour la première fois & ce n'était certainement pas la dernière !! Le principe est d'aller tout d'abord sur leur page de commande à l'aide d'un code QR qui vous est remis au début. Ensuite vous commandez le nombre de portions désiré par article proposé (soupe, viande, fruits de mer, légumes fruits, friture, sauce, sushi) Tout vous est livré dans les minutes qui suivent par un robot chat!!! Sur votre table vous avez un grill intégré ainsi que des sauces & épices pour faire griller & agrémenter vos grillades.Tout était parfait: le service est impeccable, la nourriture (a volonté) est bien proportionné afin d'éviter le gaspillage (1$ par portion gaspillé), la fraîcheur des aliments était indiscutable, TOUT goûtait tellement bon!!! Ce restaurant est devenu notre nouveau resto préféré !!!View more

Fresh meats, tasty marinades, & great service! We were served by Matt & he was attentive & efficient. The pork belly & miso beef were especially delicious, & the side dishes were flavorful & unlimited. Fun, lively atmosphere with cute lights & cat robots, perfect for group dinners.

Restaurant très intéressant à aller visiter! Le concept de faire cuire sa propre viande avec la plaque au centre de la table est super. La commande se fait à partir d'appareils électroniques. Plusieurs choix disponibles & pour le goût, c'était super aussi. Pour le prix, c'est un peu dispendieux pour deux personnes c'était proche de 120$ mais nous avions mangé à notre faim ! Je vais y retourner bientôt, c'est certain! C'était plaisant de se faire servir nos plats par des robots. Des fois des robots, des fois des serveurs.View more

The food was fine, the experience also. Some of the food was brought to our table by a little robot. Kids enjoyed it. We had to cook some of our food on the heat plate on the table. We select our food through the phone with the QR code. Images could be deceiving as it shows 3 pieces of beef & only had one on the dish. It cost 44$ each, & what we got as in quantity is not worth that price. Expect to pay 1$ for each item if you want to bring home with you on top of your diner. Bowls of rice were bland missing salt, dry & all stuck together, not freshly cooked maybe a few hours old. It was our first time & our last time there.View more

Amazing place; food was *chef's kiss* ! I love the concept of ordering with your phone & it gets delivered to you through a little cat robot, so cute. If you're looking for a sushi place, this isn't it: I've had better sushis at other places. But everything else, including the service, was great. Will go back for sure.View more

Even if you value quantity over quality, there are still better options... Went twice for friends or work events. Quality is akin to the average asian all you can eat, the only "twist" is that there is k-bbq too. I have some fond memories of Korean bbq in South Korea but this restaurant is unfortunately very far from this & an address I usually recommend against... 4 stars for service because it's fun getting your plates from the cat robot.View more

This is my second visit. Its a favorite so far. This is a place where you grill your own food right at your table. There is a good selection of food, both grill-able & really good sushi. There's different meats, veggies, & so on to keep you happy. It's all you can eat, so it's pricier like those are. They also charge you for uneaten pieces (not a problem for my party, we ate it all). So order the dishes according to how hungry you are & don't go nuts. There's drinks (non alcohol & with alcohol) for sale (not included in the all you can eat price), & desserts (some are included, some not). You get a 2 hour sitting limit (I assume so they can get more customers in). I found it was enough for my party, because the food came quickly (& we were 2 people). TWe tried to reserve in advance for a Friday dinner, & they said they don't reserve on weekends, which I thought was weird, but we just came earlier that the time the recommended we come before to ensure a seat. Also: you get served by cute cat themed robot'waiters'. Tldr: Pricy, but worth it.View more

Nous sommes allés un dimanche soir (à volonté) & tout était très frais (sushis, grillades, soupes, etc.) & très bon. Les marinades des viandes étaient justes parfaites (nous avons apprécié particulièrement le poisson, le boeuf AAA & l'agneau). La qualité des sushis était très bien & beaucoup de variété. Soupes, entrées, dumplings, légumes, crevettes/pétoncles/calmar tempura, général tao, etc. viennent en petites portions & rien à redire. Les commandes arrivaient vites & l'expérience avec les robots-serveurs agréable. Il est assez facile de commander avec nos cellulaires chaque commande que nous passons. La réservation par Google directement s'est bien passée. Mention au personnel discret, efficace & servi en français sans problème. On reviendra!View more

Je suis allée 2 fois à ce BBQ Coréen & ce qui m'a plus le plus était le service. Tout le staff est accueillant & la nourriture arrive rapidement, dans un robot serveur. J'aime aussi l'ambiance avec les lumières tamisées & les décorations de Noël. Par contre, il y a un manque de variété de nourriture selon moi & les plats ne sont pas les meilleurs. Il y a en plus des frais extras pour la crème glacée & toute boisson.View more

Fantastic AYCE BBQ & sushi! Everything was delicious. Favourite BBQ item was spicy sausage. Made a reservation. It was very easy to do online. We arrived with a few extra in our party & they were able to accommodate us. We were grateful. We got a QR code to scan to order. It's a live updating group order for the table, so just be aware for your party as you add & submit orders. If you order multiples of the same item, it's likely to be combined & arrive on a larger plate. Also, it's a busy place! Make sure to stay on top of what you ordered, especially if it's not part of the AYCE menu with an extra charge. There were a few crossed wires with ordering but my party was fine to eat anything that came (e.g. broccoli tempura vs norrmall broccoli). Smaller orders are likely to be delivered by one of their cute kitty robots! The staff are super helpful & responsive if you need to follow up on anything. The grills were flat tops & there is parchment paper to cook on. Makes for easy cleaning when you want to refresh your cooking surface. Overall the staff were so great & friendly! We were ordering soju & bottles of beer. Someone who was reviewing our orders came over to let us know he could see what we were trying to do & recommended a combination on promotion. How kind!! Also we did a group photo & they let us have the robot cat server join our party. It was awesome! We all had so much fun. & for anyone new to KBBQ reading this, a reminder that you will smell like it after the overhead suction fans can only do so much but definitely better than places that don't have them.View more

We went on a Monday evening closer to the kitchen closing time. The service was fine. The food was good & it was cool to have the robot serve us. Since we did not have that much time to finish everything, they were super understanding on not to charge us for everything we could not finish. Huge shout to the manager working that day thank you. My first time here, I saw great reviews so I was excited, the service was fantastic, great servers, cute robots, & fast service. The was great, I loved the basa fish, lots of flavour, all the sushi is amazing, everything was fresh. Came on a Friday night with a friend. There was no wait time, so I was seated right away while I waited for my friend. It was my first time, & we were greeted with smiles & kindness. It was fun to grill our own food. Everything we ate tasted amazing. We tried the Good Day lychee soju & it was very good. The robot was a unique & fun experience. It delivered our food. Belle expérience en général. Beaucoup de bruit malheureusement parce que les assiettes sont tomber des robots à 3 reprises. On a pas aviser que la cuisine allait fermer donc on voulait recommander & on n'a pas pu. On a fini sur un goût amer de la soirée avec une grosse facture. This is my go to & all time favourite all you can eat in Montreal! The food is great quality & the flavours are amazing. There's a big variety of protein options available -anything from poultry, read meat, & seafood. The variety of sushi available here is crazy! There's so many type of sushi to select. My favourites were the dragon eyes & Philadelphia rolls. There's also a robot that brings the some of the little snacks & drinks. Customer service is always good. As for the price it is a little pricey but totally worth the money & experience. Highly recommend everyone to try it out at least once.View more

I visited for the first time on a Friday around 5:00 pm, & I was genuinely impressed. The hostess who seated us was incredibly friendly & even spoke French, which was a nice touch. Our server, Jacky, was an absolute gem-super attentive & kind. One thing that really stood out was their use of technology, like the chat robots. It added a fun, modern twist to the experience. Now, let's talk about the food-the beef was perfectly marinated & bursting with flavor. I've been to Seoul Chako before, & honestly, Kalbi outshined it by far. However, I found the shrimp to be a bit bland, which was a little disappointing. Overall, the combination of great service, delicious food, & innovative tech made for an awesome experience. I suggest to reserve a table if you're going, queue can get pretty long. I'd say this kind of places are more for the fun & experience of grilling your own food at the table than it is for the food itself. Sushi & others ready to eat food is also available, tasty & fresh. Of course the point is grilling so sushi is a plus, nice gimmick is they also have robots bringing food to your table. We were 6 & the table was a bit crowded with little space where to put the trays. Staff were great & quick at serving. Overall good experience & nice to try, a bit on the expensive side though, after taxes & tip we were at 60 per person.View more
