What a hidden gem! This place serves amazing homestyle slavic foods that taste the love from a grandma. Everything was super fresh & yummy! The small place has a takeout counter & 3 small tables. The place is run by 2 lovely ladies. Great hospitality!
The borscht soup definitely warms the soul on cold winter days. It has a good depth & fresh taste. The soup is packed with veggies with little bit of meat & beans. It was delicious! & the bread that comes with it was so good! A small garlic bread with a hint of sweetness. It has a sweet caramelized crust. I could eat that all day! The owner explained to me that they are baked freshly every morning in a limited amount to be served with the soup.
The other highlight was the honey cake. Moist, dense but it doesn't feel heavy at all. Little tangy with a beautiful taste of caramelized honey. They use local honey to make their cake. Heaven!
Can't wait to go back & to try more from their menu!
Super authentic & delicious. I had the borscht soup, it was decadent, filled with fresh vegetables fresh savory & sweet well balanced delicious soup. The pelmeni was perfectly crafted, filling was perfectly spiced & seasoned, the outer dumpling was thin thin chewy & soft at the same time.
Absolutely delicious food, amazing service & so clean! Found this little gem on google maps & were pleasantly surprised at how close it was to us! The two ladies running it are doing a phenomenal job at cooking & serving authentic & flavourful Tajik & Ukraininian food. Every item we tried was bursting with flavour & nourishment & cooked from the heart! We had the spinach & feta samsa, Borscht soup (it was AMAZING!), Manty, Plov & Kazan Kebab & everything was so so yum! The meat just melted in the mouth & everything felt like a warm embrace after a hard day ❤? This place is definitely a keeper & I wish these two awesome ladies nothing but success! Definitely recommend 🌟
p.s. Read great reviews for their honey cake but it had run out when we went so definitely going to try that next time! p.p.s everything is Halal so yay! p.p.p.s it's a small place so consider that you might have to wait or do take-out/delivery.
Two ladies with the best food, the best service, the best hospitality, cleanliness, & attention to every detail. We ordered a little bit of everything--bortsh soup, both the beef & spinach/feta samsa (which came with a delicious salsa/sauce), belyash, & manti--all the food was halal & made from scratch, & with lots of love--& it shows. There was a mutton soup that wasn't on the menu which they suggested & even provided a generous free sample to taste, & my husband & I loved it! We ended our meal with a honey cake (also gifted generously), & it was perfect. These ladies deserve nothing but the best & I can't wait to come back! Thank you so much for your hospitality, generosity, & the food that comes from the heart ❤?
Merci encore.
Excellent & Authentic home made food. Don't hesitate to order the Bortsch soup.
