Was an absolute pleasure! Brought my son, were greeted warmly by the two lovely ladies who run the resto (& treat you like family in the best sense possible). If like us you appreciate & seek out an authentic setting & meals lovingly prepared, fresh, delicious, a cultural immersion, Kalabok is a must-visit. We were so full we had to bring home dessert, & also a cabbage pastry, warmed up in the oven that was so delicious we regretted not buying more. Thank you for a truly memorable evening!

Dès la première bouchée, on sent l'authenticité. Les plats sont préparés avec soin, les saveurs sont justes, fidèles aux traditions. Le borsch, les belyashi & les autres spécialités m'ont vraiment transporté ailleurs - c'est clairement de la cuisine maison, faite avec passion.
Ce qui m'a particulièrement plu, c'est le rapport qualité-prix : c'est délicieux & vraiment pas cher pour la qualité offerte.
Le service est attentionné, & l'ambiance est chaleureuse tout simplement.
Si tu veux un repas à la fois bon, authentique & très abordable, Kalabok est définitivement une adresse à retenir.
Super authentic & delicious. I had the borscht soup, it was decadent, filled with fresh vegetables fresh savory & sweet well balanced delicious soup. The pelmeni was perfectly crafted, filling was perfectly spiced & seasoned, the outer dumpling was thin thin chewy & soft at the same time.
I honestly can't believe a restaurant this delicious, with such fair prices! exists in Montreal. Every single dish tastes freshly prepared, authentic, & full of love. You can feel the care in the food & in the service. From the drinks to the main course to the dessert, everything was flawless. & the owners? Such warm, kindhearted people. It's rare to find a place that feels like home & deeply comforting. I'll absolutely be coming back & bringing everyone I know. The meat just melts in my mouth. The drinks not too sweet with hint of fresh fruit. Don't know how to better describe it. Try it!
Absolutely delicious food, amazing service & so clean! Found this little gem on google maps & were pleasantly surprised at how close it was to us! The two ladies running it are doing a phenomenal job at cooking & serving authentic & flavourful Tajik & Ukraininian food. Every item we tried was bursting with flavour & nourishment & cooked from the heart! We had the spinach & feta samsa, Borscht soup (it was AMAZING!), Manty, Plov & Kazan Kebab & everything was so so yum! The meat just melted in the mouth & everything felt like a warm embrace after a hard day ❤? This place is definitely a keeper & I wish these two awesome ladies nothing but success! Definitely recommend 🌟
p.s. Read great reviews for their honey cake but it had run out when we went so definitely going to try that next time! p.p.s everything is Halal so yay! p.p.p.s it's a small place so consider that you might have to wait or do take-out/delivery.

I have been there twice now & I have tried 90% of their menu. The food is just so good! Fragrant, tasty, authentic & just like home made.
The service is amazing too. I just can't recommend this place enough.
Every single thing about this restaurant was top notch. The two women were very welcoming & treat everyone with the highest level of respect. Not to mention that their food was spectacular on top of being very unique & authentic. I see myself coming back again often, & i highly recommend this restaurant to all.
Really authentic slavic food & so good!
I went with a Russian & a Lebanese friend. The Russian said it was all very authentic & reminded him of his childhood meals. The lebanese could try it all because it's all halal.
Everything is prepared on site, almost home made & not expensive at all! We tried at least half the menu for 33$ each.
Also, the service was exceptional. I understand why it's trending. I can't recommend it enough.
