The poutine was good, but it was also $23. The drinks are expensive too, & my friend said his rum & coke wasn't great. My Mojito was $17💀
Also, the funniest bit was that after a song played, I heard'Want a break from the ads?' blast through the speakers. Damn, for how expensive the food is you wonder where the money goes🥀(for the uninitiated, that's what Spotify plays in between songs when you have the free tier, the paid tier is like $10)
Wouldn't recommend because of the price (good food & service but was not worth what I paid), & avoid buying drinks there at all costs.

The smoked meat poutine was great, however I couldn't finish all of it. Staff were accomodating after we asked to move outside, partially due to the questionable choice in background music. Great atmosphere & some good options. Would recommend.

The food was amazing! I had some poutine & it was fantastic! The atmosphere of the place is great too, great location, & decorated nicely. The people working there are very kind & welcoming to customers.
Un petit bijou au Vieux Port. Je cherchais un endroit "cozy" pour manger une poutine & prendre une bonne bière. Très content d'avoir trouvé le Pub John Michaels. Service impeccable & bonne poutine. Merci à Mathias & Nicolas pour l'excellent service. Nous reviendrons, c'est certain.
Prices on the menu did not reflect the ones we saw on the website. Poutine on the website stated $16, when we came in the menu said $20, very misleading, & not worth the $20. Very disappointed & will not come back.
Food is ok but we feel the oil for the fries & poutine fries... portions are good for the prices... the waitress was kind & nice, but I don't understand why they don't propose an extra chair & let the place empty while there should be a chair & see that we have bags & don't know where to put it... terrace for this season is a good option
We went as a group of 7 with no reservation around 1pm. Food was okay. But the French onion soup was so peppery it couldn't be eaten we had to send it back. So don't order the French onion soup here. The smoked meat poutine was tasty as were the sandwiches. Bathroom was very dirty
We found this wonderful little pub on our last trip to Montreal. A big thank you to the manager Nadine & her staff for taking such good care of us on our multiple visits on this trip. Love their French onion soup & poutine!
Personnel très aimable, bonnes bières, mais temps d'attente beaucoup trop long. 1h05 en cuisine pour sortir 5 burgers (quelconques), une poutine & un fish & chips. N'y allez pas si vous êtes plus que 6.
