This place always has great music on of my favourite Montreal Dj's Dj Yao always has the place bumping with tons of high energy. The food is mediocre a few things are ok but nothing that really stands out per say. You dont go there for the food though you go there for the ambiance & the barman Dan is such a sweetheart always making sure your drink is full & your taken care of. The only downside are prices the drinks are very expensive.Voir plus

My friend & I came from Vancouver to visit Montreal & came across Jiao. We arrived at about 9:30pm & restaurant was completely dead . We orders 3 dishes plus one drink each .We had about three different servers two female & one male. As the night went on it got busier & we were asked to move tables to accommodate another group with a drink covered by the manager which we agreed. However my friend ordered an espresso martini which tasted like it had no alcohol . When she told one of the female servers she replied rudely " well isn't that the point to taste espresso & laughed . When it was time for the bill , no where on the bill does it say that it is mandatory to tip 18% . When I imputed my own tip the server then said oh sorry it's mandatory 18% because it covers employees wages. She imputed the extra $13 & made me pay. The bill came to be $154 per person which we paid separately. Besides the music which was the only good thing there I would not recommend this restaurantVoir plus
Heads down the best resto bar in Montreal. Atmosphere is unmatched & the decor is absolutely beautiful. I wasn't expecting much regarding the service, but was pleasantly surprised! The staff is super welcoming & warm, very friendly, yet attentive & very efficient. The food is, quite simply, extraordinary. Their new wagyu dumplings are a must try! Every dish i ordered was amazing, blending the rich flavors of Asia with a contemporary twists that surprise & delight. Even as the music start to get louder, the quality of the food remains unforgettable. The bar is no less impressive, heads down best cocktails i've had in Montreal. Overall unmatched ambiance, best DJ with nice lighting & great ventilation. Place is spotlessly clean & impeccably maintained. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the experience justifies every dollar. 10/10 recommend my favorite place in Montreal by far!Voir plus

There are many other food spots in mtl with great food & more affordable. I wouldn't return or recommend this restaurant to anyone else. If you improve the food it would be a way better experience because the ambiance & service was great! I also loved the music. I hope you're able to turn it around!
via LibroI really enjoyed our experience. Service, music, & variety of dishes were fabulous. My one feedback would be that the dishes were quite salty. I would've loved to taste the fresh ingredients more especially the lobster, but the soy sauce was overpowering. Great spin on traditional dim sum!

Good place for a nice dinner but be careful, be sure to be out before 10 pm because then the music volume goes up, & it's party mode & difficult to have a conversation. That vibe is also great if you want to have a nice 10 to 12 pre party meal, especially with friends.

via LibroI am glad we went to eat at Jiao Dim Sum Bar at 7pm. The food portions were small but big in size. Delicious Sui Mia, Gyoza, Lobster Dumplings but the winner of the night was the Royal Louis fried rice!! As the night progressed, it started getting packed & the music got louder.

A very relaxed environment, great music (specially for hip-hop & RnB lovers), & there's an air of familiarity that you may even get with the rest of the customers. The food is always excellent & served with the same attention to details they are known for. Don't miss out!
