An Englishman in Lennoxville, I am not used to the North American diner experience, but this Italian-Greek fusion restaurant diner did not disappoint. For 65 dollars including tax, my wife & I were able to have a main course, a soup starter & a coffee to finish.
I chose grilled chicken with rice & salad, & I got exactly what I paid for, i.e. it was reasonable value for money, unlike so many places these days. The herb-seasoned chicken was a good-sized portion, succulent, well-cooked but not dry, & the rice was nicely flavoured, I think with chicken stock, & a hint of turmeric. The chicken noodle soup starter was also more than acceptable, actually quite tasty.
The service was a little slow, but that is because one waitress was trying to manage all the diners at once (it`s a popular place) plus takeaway orders. We overheard that some young employee had not turned up again. In any case, the waitress managed well, seemingly knowing intuitively exactly which tasks should be prioritised, & sometimes doing two tasks at once.
Being from the UK, I find the tipping culture strange in Canada, but on this occasion I was happy to add the 15%. For an affordable meal of hearty food, neither fancy nor junky, this place is highly recommended.
Pizza All dressed : Excellente Assiette Saumon, riz & salade : Excellent Nous avons découvert Jerry's dernièrement. Nous nous rendons parfois dans la région pour le travail. Nous avons pris notre commande pour emporter. Le service était très bien, malgré le "rush". J'ai choisi une pizza "all dressed", mon épouse a pris l'assiette de riz / saumon & salade. La pizza était délicieuse, très bien cuite, généreusement garnie jusqu'à la croûte, ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas dans d'autres resto. Le saumon était parfaitement cuit. C'est arrivé dans d'autres restaurants que c'étais trop cuits & secs. Ici... parfait. :) Le riz & salade, très bon. Seul points négatif : En attendant notre commande, un cuisinier à répondu un peut bête à une serveuse, & vu que le resto est petit, nous avons entendu. On peut comprendre que c'était un rush, mais il faut rester courtois avec les coéquipiers. Je vous recommande vivement ce restaurant.
Bonjour, J'y ai mangé ce midi en compagnie d'un ami qui m'invitait! Service impeccable & attentionné, soupe du jour & pizza salade césar délicieux! Cela vaut détour! 9.5/10!
I swear by the pizza here! Absolutely the best #pizza I have ever had. If you’re a cheese lover you will be happy. Even the crust is bubbly & soft just like a fresh baked bread. Love their cesar salad as well. Sometimes I drive down from Montreal & stop by to remind myself of how special this tiny restaurant is. It fits perfectly with the charm Lennoxville casts. The staff is always friendly & bilingual (Lennoxville is a bit of an english bubbled area, which I love). Such a homey vibe. I don’t know what I’ll do if they ever close one day. (If you order by phone make sure to mention that you want your pizza cut if you rather it that way.)
