Went there for a coffee & perhaps would never return. The barista served us a cappuccino that I would rather had way too much milk & tasted like a hot milk shake with a tinge of coffee. Mind you it's not a pocket friendly place either.
Couple of rare good things about the place, it offers free Wi-Fi & you can just sip your coffee looking over the busy Concordia junction on Maisonneuve.Voir plus
Was refused service for a cappuccino 17 minutes prior to closing. Visited at 7:43 on Monday, Aug 21.
I own a service business & that is wholly unacceptable, especially for a coffee shop. It is the employees own prerogative if they want to clean early, so they can leave early. Rinsing a carafe & brewing a cappuccino isn’t very time consuming.

You just can't list all the coffee shops that are in the 200m radius from this one. & as I lived, studied & worked in the area for many years, I have tried every one. From 7 in the morning to 10pm.
Through different managers in this JavaU location, the idea is great - urban dynamic spot. The guys & girls for many generation are nice & easy (not stressed out like in other spots around), but they do not look like professional waiters - you can imagine they have their other side of the life: students, artists. & of cause, they remeber your usual order.
I like there esspresso, cappuccino, latte, ginger tea. No once I needed to replace my latte because there where almost no coffee (white in color) in my latte, which I did 3 time in the last 2 years in different Starbucks.
Anyway , I am not here to criticize everything wrong in all other coffee shops, just to say that in this one nothing wrong happened to me in many years.
