Authentic Japanese restaurant. Really fresh. Quality fish & rice. Nothing compared to the other ones that just wants to sell a ball of low quality rice with a little bit of some cheap fish inside. This place is real.Voir plus

This might have been the single best sushi experience I have had in Montreal. The lunch combo I ordered came with miso soup, small salad, tempura, sashimi, nigiri, hoso & futo Maki's, green tea & ice cream. The miso soup was cloudly, perfectly hot & flavorful. The tempura included shrimp, zucchini, eggplant & sweet potato all expertly fried, light & had no greasiness to them at all. The sashimi was a good variety of tuna, salmon & snapper. All of which were fresh & clean tasting. The nigiri were very well prepared with perfectly seasoned rice & wasabi used in the perfect proportion. Rolls were varied & balanced with different textures & flavors. The meal was finished off with hot tea & green tea ice cream. The service was attentive but not overbearing. The meal was paced very well by the waiter & it was nice to feel so taken care of. Including a diet coke, all this was had for the incredible price of $34.49 including taxes. For the quality of the food & the experience, I cannot recommend Sakura enough.Voir plus

My go-to place for sushi during lunch! The fish are fresh, the portions are good. Reasonable price, great ambiance & the staff are so polite & sweet.Voir plus

relaxed little sushi spot I went to for the first time since it moved from the old Katsura. Our friends are not huge sushi fans but loved the steak on their daily specials which seem to generally be good deals. They also shared a sukiyaki that they are still talking about. My date & I had an assortmentof sushi that as an ex-vancouverite I can say was all very skillfully preparded & fresh.

A family member threw us an engagement party at Sakura lately. The food was fresh, pleasantly presented, & the service was a-la Japonais: courteous, timely & not in your face. I'll definitely put this on my list of restaurants to visit again.

I come to eat at this restaurent from time to time. It is for sure one of the best Japanese restaurent in Montreal. Good, tasty, fresh foods & polite, friendly & well-informed waitress & waiter & very very japanese-style ambience. ^^ I am always safisfied with this restaurent~~& the price is reasonable~~~ I definitely go to try it again~~~



p.s..the manager/waiter, named Yoshi, is very friendly & professional about his job.~~thumb up for him~~~
