Depuis plus de 30 ans, Le Jardin Nelson est l'endroit à ne pas manquer lors d'un passage dans le Vieux-Montréal. Ce restaurant a été nommé ainsi en l'honneur du Dr Wolfred Nelson, patriote de la rébellion de 1837, et neuvième maire de Montréal. L'immense terrasse extérieure pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 500 personnes se situe en plein cœur d'une vaste cour de style jardin méditerranéen. La multitude de fleurs et d'arbustes florissants, méticuleusement entretenus, ajoute une touche de vivacité et de dynamisme à l'endroit.

Superbe restaurant avec un menu varié. Ils ont une carte présentant les allergènes qui nous permet de choisir un plat : c'est la première fois que je vois ça dans un restaurant & c'est vraiment une idée rassurante. Voilà un restaurant qui prend les allergies au sérieux ! Il y a une bonne ambiance avec les musiciens. Le service est impeccable, de l'arrivée avec les hôtesses à la fin avec notre serveur. C'était notre troisième visite aujourd'hui & c'était parfait, comme les fois précédentes. La salade de saumon frais est excellente, j'ai adoré mon plat.Voir plus

Superbe restaurant. Lieu atypique, reposant, assez classe & à la fois un peu BOBO. Bar /Restaurant tendance. Bravo pour le concept. Chauffage aérien à chaque table, couvert par d'IMMENSES parasol en forme de Cône. Excellente expérience au Jardin Nelson. Le restaurant se trouve dans une cours intérieur charmante (& chauffée!). Il y a des musiciens qui jouent du jazz tous les jours de la semaine, pour accompagner votre repas. C'était vraiment agréable. Les portions sont généreuses & le service est super ! Endroit surévalué! Pichet de sangria banale à 42$ dans lequelle on ne sent aucunement l'alcool! Mes amis ont été ARCHI déçus... Une chance que j'avais opté pour un verre de vin rouge! Aussi, une terrasse où l'on ne voit AUCUNE parcelle de ciel... Je me demande à quel point on peut appeller ça une terrasse quand on se sent autant "enfermé" à l'intérieur.. Heureusement que le lieu est extraordinaire, car payer 35,00 $ pour un sandwich au homard avec du pain sec & du homard sans goût, c'est très cher. En plus, il restait des morceaux de carapace dans le homard. La serveuse était gentille, mais trop mélangée pour offrir un bon service. We were thrilled to discover this incredible restaurant as a family of five in a recent trip to Montreal. The extensive menu offered something for everyone, making it difficult to choose! I enjoyed the delicious chard, my husband chose the pork crepe, & we shared a delightful pitcher of sangria. Our kids loved the ribs, pizza, & pasta. The staff was both kind & professional, & the ambiance was charming, set amidst picturesque buildings. With outdoor seating made cozy by heaters, our experience was very comfortable. I recently dined at Jardin Nelson & unfortunately, my experience was not entirely enjoyable due to the food. I found the dishes at Jardin Nelson to be lacking in flavor & overall appeal. The menu options did not meet my expectations in terms of taste & quality. The dish I ordered was particularly disappointing; it lacked freshness & seemed uninspired. In addition to the food, the service was also subpar. The staff seemed disinterested & inattentive, which further detracted from the overall dining experience. While the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant enough, the disappointing food & lackluster service overshadowed any positive aspects. In conclusion, I did not have a favorable experience at Jardin Nelson due to the disappointing food quality & indifferent service. I hope these aspects can be improved to enhance the overall dining experience for future patrons.Voir plus

Visit somewhat spoiled by loud customer at table about 15 ft away (Sunday, May 28) Informed waitress & male staffer in blue shirt. Male said could do nothing but relocate us, whichmay have been fine if not halfway through meal & if table readily available. Always try to visit Jardin when in town & waited half hour to get in. Bad luck & disappointed in outcome. Not once did i see that table look at musicians or applaud. Unsure why there. Guy spoke almost non-stop. Believe just loud, not drunk. Perhaps he was oblivious to surroundings. Although packed house, at one point there were two empty tables (they were distinct groups) beside his. I think this not coincidental. Anyway, believe it could have been gently pointed out to customer that he might lower volume when musicians playing. (I am anglo, as was loud customer.) Unless mistaken, I believe the main attraction is the music. Otherwise all was fine.Voir plus
