This was one of our favorite restaurant choices during our visit to Montreal. Good gluten-free options, gorgeous patio & vibe, great service. They're known for their crepes & offer a gluten-free batter. They also have a gluten-free menu to clearly show options, & our waiter was very knowledgeable & helpful about dietary restrictions. Most of the sauces are not gluten free but I enjoyed the main course crepe I chose without a sauce. Though the cheesecake dessert crepe we shared wasn't nearly as good. They don't take reservations & get very busy, so be prepared to arrive early or to wait for a table. We arrived 20 minutes before the restaurant opened & stood in the line that was already forming. We didn't know about the back patio beforehand but followed the crowd in front of us in choosing a table on the back patio, & it was by far the best seating. It's a*really* beautiful space & there was live music during our lunch. As we left about 12:30 pm, every table in the restaurant was full & there was a very long line of people waiting to be seated.View more
This is such a lovely restaurant with live music in the old port. It is always very busy, so I would recommend planning your time accordingly if you have plans afterwards. I chose the beef tartare & my friend chose the ribs which was quite flavorful. We also had the litchi sangria which was very refreshing!View more
Gotta go here for a nice boozy brunch! There is always fun jazzy music playing & the Sangria is incredible (recommend both the watermelon & the lychee)View more
We went in as a group of 5ppl. We were 5 ladies. We knew that we would have to wait a while however we waited at least up to an hour or more for our seats. When everyone who was standing in front of us got there seats we still had to wait an extra 30mins until I asked the hostess how much longer we were going to have to wait. After 2min another hostess said she found a table for us on the terrace & that she was going to prepare the table for us . As she left the hostess that I was talking to seated us in the worst seating & placed the group behind us on the terrasse. Pretty unreasonable as we waited much longer than all the ppl ahead of us. Mind you we saw multiple groups of 5 leaving & also going in ahead of us. Our waitress was great. I had the American Pizza & it was delicious with the special sangria which was a delight. The Jazz music was certainly the right touch for the atmosphere. I would recommend anyone go there, I understand the popularity of this restaurant & the wait time but I don't think the hostesses treated us reasonably this time.View more
Our second time here.It was a very busy weekend so instead of lining up at the front we opted for the terrace. There was literally no wait for the terrace & you still get the same food/music as sitting inside. Great place for a good meal or just some quick bites before catching a show at the Cirque du Solei. The duck confit putine we ordered was delicious.View more
We loved this gem! Very cool outdoor seating area with live music at lunch. We enjoyed salmon lasagna & seafood crepes. Quick friendly serviceView more
Jardin Nelson is one of the best restaurants in Old Port Montreal. The food is amazing. If you get a chance to visit, sit on the back patio. The music & atmosphere is top-notch. https://www.foodnfashion.tv/home/jardin-nelsonView more

The ambience is beautiful- outdoor garden & live jazz music. Server was nice. However the food was really not good at all.View more
Great spot with an awesome vibe in the back patio. My pork crepe was awesome. They also had Rabaska cidre which was very refreshing. The cherry on top was the fact that they had live music on a Sunday at 2pm. Truly lovely experience.View more
Jardin Nelson was absolutely lovely. You walk in, & you see the open-air restaurant tucked away in a nook of Old Port. Live music filled the space, playing The Beatles & other classics, & the service was quick & friendly. I tried their bruschetta, cannelloni, & their pouding chomeur. Each dish was delicious & exceeded my expectations. I'd love to come back & try other dishes. The atmosphere & food are just things worth coming back to.View more

Our server Kevin made our night. Food is not bad & for a decent price. Ambiance is great. The hostesses were very kind & accommodating for our group of 8. The live jazz music was very nice. Thanks Kevin!View more
Great restaurant with outdoor seating right in old Montréal. Our server (did not get his name) was awesome, he was attentive & personable. We had a late lunch here & then returned for dinner & the live jazz music. We thought the wait time for a table would be long. There was a line already formed when we got there. However, we waited about 15 minutes. for a table. The atmosphere is upbeat & fun. We had a fantastic time. The food was delicious, drinks were too & reasonably priced.View more

Such an adorable place! The interior was BEAUTIFUL with live music. Good food. Had the jackfruit pike bowl & loved it. Must see & dine in place. Very unique. Be warned...its a pricey place.View more
Excellent place, the atmosphere is very cozy, it has live music, jazz, they play & sing very well. The food is pretty good, it doesn't take that long even though the place was full. The environment is partially covered, sunlight enters & it has many plants. We tried salmon lasagna & orange duck crepe. Highly recommendedView more

Visit somewhat spoiled by loud customer at table about 15 ft away (Sunday, May 28) Informed waitress & male staffer in blue shirt. Male said could do nothing but relocate us, whichmay have been fine if not halfway through meal & if table readily available. Always try to visit Jardin when in town & waited half hour to get in. Bad luck & disappointed in outcome. Not once did i see that table look at musicians or applaud. Unsure why there. Guy spoke almost non-stop. Believe just loud, not drunk. Perhaps he was oblivious to surroundings. Although packed house, at one point there were two empty tables (they were distinct groups) beside his. I think this not coincidental. Anyway, believe it could have been gently pointed out to customer that he might lower volume when musicians playing. (I am anglo, as was loud customer.) Unless mistaken, I believe the main attraction is the music. Otherwise all was fine.View more

This is a wonderful restaurant & also my favorite place to visit in Montréal. They serve delicious food & have an accomodating staff. The interior of the restaurant is a very open, airy environment. Be sure to come when the live music is being performed!View more

Went in for a relative’s birthday dinner. Really nice atmosphere with live jazz music.
The food was really tasty. The service was a bit slow however that can be attributed to how busy it was! The prices are reasonable. Would go again!View more
