About

Jardin Du Cari presents a focused selection of Caribbean and Cajun culinary traditions that emphasize bold spice profiles and slow-cooked techniques. The menu features hearty stews, jerk-seasoned proteins, and aromatic rice dishes that define the regional fusion of these two distinct flavor cultures. Patrons encounter authentic preparation methods where intense marinades meet the smoky heat characteristic of traditional Southern Louisiana and island-style cooking. The atmosphere remains centered on the food itself, providing a straightforward environment designed for quick and efficient service. Every dish highlights the integration of fresh ingredients and complex dry rubs to produce consistent results. This establishment functions as a primary destination for individuals seeking high-impact, flavorful comfort food prepared according to time-tested recipes that prioritize deep, savory dimensions and consistent culinary excellence.

Review Summary

Jardin Du Cari is widely regarded as a staple for authentic and comforting West Indies cuisine that offers exceptional value and homey flavors. Visitors frequently praise the expertly seasoned goat curry, the variety of delicious rotis, and the inclusion of flavorful vegan options like pumpkin and chickpea dishes. The simple, welcoming atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for any occasion, while the house hot sauce comes highly recommended as a must-try addition to any meal.

The veg Roti & plantains were absolutely delicious. The people working were also so nice! Highly recommend

Splendid dishes & lavish flavors at this locally loved West Indian-Guyanese spot. Kind & attentive service & seriously savory bites. The highly recommended goat & pumpkin roti was even more delicious than advertised; I had to order a bit off menu (just ask!). Can't wait to go back - anyone passing through should make the trip. Solid value & unpretentious.

Very quaint establishment with fantastic food & a decent vibe to. When I went there was no music playing, thus the silence was a little off putting. I'd suggest they play some music in the background to help the atmosphere. Staff is very nice & offered good service! The wait for the food was a little lengthy but not unreasonable. Plus, the damn hot sauce they serve is homemade & absolutely delicious with the Shrimp Roti! I will return & I recommend anyone in the area check this corner joint for a small piece of Caribbean culture!

Awful food, awful service awful place. We work nearby & tried it out for the first & last time. The food looked disgusting & tasted bland. . We were denied water because a few people at our table already had some.

Service took forever. We sat waiting for roughly 15 minutes before seeing a single person working there & that's because we had gotten up to leave.

All in all one of the worst food experience ever for my colleagues & myself. I strongly recommend avoiding this place.
