Appetisers include the Dahl soup and Phulouri, the main course of Guyanese-style curries - a choice of chicken, shrimp, goat or chickpea and potato - served with rice, potato salad and plantain. Le Jardin Du Cari offers diners a home-made hot sauce that is placed on each table so they can spice up their meals.

Review Summary

Jardin Du Cari is a low key, homey spot that works for takeout or a relaxed meal with friends or solo, where rotis are praised as among the best in the city, especially with pumpkin, along with jerk chicken and goat. The simple, comforting West Indian fare includes vegetarian options, plantain on the side, and even a few off menu items that can be ordered in advance, reflecting a long standing family run vibe. The hot sauce has a good kick and memories accumulate from years of meals here, making it a cherished staple in Montreal, with some reviews also noting nostalgia for Caribbean flavors once found in Toronto.

The OG of the Mile End. The rotis here are delicious - especially with pumpkin. I have been getting them (take out) for my family for years. The restaurant is low-key & homey, eat with your friends or family or on your own.

Easily the best roti I've had in Montreal. Growing up in Toronto, Carribean food & especially roti was a regular meal but it's something I've really been missing since I moved here. Really good.

So happy to have found this place. Ive been looking for a legit Trini/Guyanese Caribbean restaurant for a very long time. The Goat Roti is delicious.

The owners are friendly, & give great customer service. This is the best roti in Montreal & it is a shame more people don't know about it.

I tried the curry goat roti with pumpkin, the pumpkin was such an amazing touch. Their homemade pepper sauce was also unlike anything else I've ever tried. One of the best roti's in the city but I just wish it was a bigger portion. I'm excited to try more of the menu.

Food is good. The goat is great! Roti very nice as well. The owner offers cookies at the end, but beware they are not free, even though they are almost offered like they are. It seems a bit of a weird thing to do. But otherwise good food.

J'ai mangé le roti aux pois chiches & patates (avec citrouille) & c'était superbe! La patronne était vraiment très sympa aussi
