This is one of the most beautiful spots in montreal. Huge fans of the decor. Food was amazing. Do yourself a favor & order the carrot cake to share- INCREDIBLE. Amazing & attentive service as well. Will be back.

The cutest brunch spot in Wellington, Bristol interior, & super lovely & attentive waiters. My waiter Hamza was very welcoming, & super lovely. The atmosphere of Janine was beautiful also.

I had the Courgette Bread, a great choice, so delicious & so many flavours & textures. I do think my poached eggs were a little under cooked, as I felt a bit funny after, however that's something that can happen anywhere!

I'd really recommend this spot, I am dreaming of the courgette bread still…

Great spot! I loved that the brunch menu was sort of a fancy twist on classics (using duck or pulled pork on the eggs benedict, for example). I had the Chic Croissant, which was not too hearty & not too light. A perfect brunch option. Our server was attentive without being overbearing & the general vibe of the restaurant was nice. We came on a Wednesday so there was no wait but it was still busy. I would definitely come here again!

The service here is amazing! Our waiter was attentive, friendly, & helpful. The food presentation was great & it was delicious. I highly recommend coming to this spot for a nice brunch meet up with a friend.

I had a great first impression of this restaurant. At the beginning, I was served by two female servers who were both friendly, attentive, & genuinely welcoming. Although there was a misunderstanding with my order, they noticed the issue very quickly because they paid close attention to every customer, & they resolved it promptly.

Later, I believe one of them went on break & a male server took over. Unfortunately, the quality of the service changed completely. He walked around the restaurant without paying attention to customers, making it nearly impossible to get his attention when I needed assistance. I had to walk to the counter myself to ask for help. It seemed like the staff only wanted to deliver the food as quickly as possible & then stand behind the counter.

What disappointed me the most was when he brought me the bill. Without making any eye contact or saying a word, he simply dropped it onto my table. The bill fell onto the floor, & he didn't even notice until another customer pointed it out. Only then did he come back to pick it up. I found this extremely rude & disrespectful.

Throughout my meal, I had no interaction with him, so I honestly don't understand why I was treated this way.

The food was delicious, but the poor service left such a bad impression that I would not return, nor would I recommend this restaurant to others.

We stopped by Janine Café in Verdun for brunch, & it turned out to be one of the best café experiences we've had in Montreal.

The food was beautifully presented, but what really impressed me was the quality of the sauces. Every dish was well balanced, rich without being too heavy, & the sauces elevated the entire meal. You can tell the kitchen pays attention to the small details.

The service was exceptional. Our server Mr. Hamza was genuinely warm, attentive, & thoughtful throughout the meal. My daughter ordered a burger, & before it arrived, he politely asked if she planned to eat it with her hands. After she said yes, he immediately brought over extra napkins without us even asking. It's such a small gesture, but it shows how much they care about the customer experience.

Another thoughtful touch: I noticed a lady at the next table with a small handbag & nowhere to put it. The staff brought over a small handbag stand so she didn't have to leave it on the floor. They also checked on every table more than once to make sure everyone was enjoying their meal, without ever being intrusive.

Great food, beautiful presentation, outstanding sauces, & service that truly goes above & beyond. Janine Café absolutely deserves its excellent reputation. I'll definitely be back & would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable brunch in Verdun.

Ok, this place was so good :) The service was incredibly friendly & attentive. There was a mix-up with my order, & they even brought me a cinnamon brioche as a thoughtful gesture, which was greatly appreciated. Special thanks to Janique & the entire team for being so welcoming.

The sandwich was delicious & well-balanced (even if a bit messy to eat!). The breaded chicken, pepper jelly, & salad were all perfectly executed & worked really well together.

The decor is a bit on the heavier side aesthetically (similar to its sister restaurant, Regine), but that's purely a matter of personal taste.

I left feeling very satisfied & even willing to give Regine a second chance because of how positive this experience was. I would definitely come back & would happily recommend this place!

Fantastic place! Janique was also super attentive & friendly!
We had :
Chic croissant - I have never had pulled ham & it was sooooo tasty & soft - everything was fresh with exquisite flavors!
Gros jambon - the texture of the ham was smooth & buttery
Ouef & bouef - the sauce was fantastic & caramelized onions were delicious

Latte was also on point 😍

Loved the experience!!
