Janick is described as a standout riverside restaurant with a terrace offering stunning views of the Richelieu river and Mont Saint Hilaire, and the reviews consistently highlight the terrace as a major draw along with generous portions and a diverse menu that includes international dishes. The service is reported as impeccable and friendly on many visits, though several reviews note slow or uneven service during busy periods, sometimes with delays before meals or incomplete orders. The food quality ranges from excellent and hearty to disappointing when dishes arrive cold or with bland flavors, such as cold poutines or overcooked items, with some guests noting price versus value as a concern. Cocktails and drinks are often praised, especially the strawberry daiquiri, and the overall atmosphere is described as pleasant and scenic, making it a reliable choice for a sunny meal by the water. Accessibility on the terrace and timing with crowds are recurring concerns, but the location, atmosphere, and views frequently redeem the experience for many guests, who express intent to return for the scenery, drinks, and some standout dishes.
Another very nice restaurant in Vieux Beloeil along the Richelieu river. Beautiful views of the St-Hilaire mountain & the river are guaranteed no mater where you choose to sit. This place is busy & does not take reservations so there might be a slight wait especially on a nice sunny day. Service is quick, efficient & friendly. They have original cocktails such as the exotic white wine sangria which is blue & green! The menu is surprisingly diversified with pasta, salads, hamburgers, steaks & other grill items as well as many very good appetizers to choose from. The fish & chips were delicious! Tender inside & crispy on the outside with nice tartare sauce & homemade curly fries. I found the spare ribs too sweet which is not surprising as the sauce has maple syrup! Definitely a place a would recommend!
We went for brunch with a large group & unfortunately the food was a little disappointing. The potato fries were quite dry & the poached eggs were too cooked so you don't get the runny egg.
The services was good even though there were a lot of young servers who couldn't answer all our questions but the place opened recently.
We were on the terrace & the view was quite nice so overall mixed feelings.

Short drive from Montreal. Great food, friendly staff (everyone spoke ENGLISH!! every time I switched to English). Great views over the river, very relaxing atmosphere great way to spend an afternoon/evening.
The restaurant itself is beautiful! Located in a charming old town with friendly locals, it has a stunning terrace offering an amazing view. Just a heads-up if you visit in the summer, there's quite a bit of pollen on the terrace, which could be a slight inconvenience. Customer service was generally good, though it took a little longer for our waiter to check on us at times. For drinks, we had two cocktails that were fantastic. To start, we tried the shrimp popcorn, which was delicious & rated a solid 4/5. The Chicken Caesar salad, however, was just okay-I'd give it a 3/5. For our mains, we had the half BBQ Chicken Portu Style, which was good at 3.5/5, & the chicken & shrimp pesto spaghetti, also rated 3.5/5! Overall, a lovely setting with a relaxed vibe & decent food. Worth a visit, especially for the ambiance!
Very beautiful view of the river & the mountain, nice servers, food was good too, I ordered the Penne with Italian sausages, didn't take too long to be ready. Nice experience overall, recommended!
Located on the main promenade next to the city center which offers great views of the mountain & river. Large two-level terrace & internal restaurant with two bars. Fast & friendly staff & very fast serving food. The food is ordinary, the portions are large but nothing super interesting, the bar is more varied & in my opinion this place is more suitable for drinking hot drinks & watching the wonderful scenery of amazing nature.

Quick service, friendly staff, perfect waterfront view & delicious food. I took grilled chicken sandwich & my husband got fillet minion, both were delicious, specially the mashed potato.
We went there Friday 10/6 while the weather was still warm & we chose to sit outside on the balcony with a pleasant breeze & a beautiful view of Mont St Hilaire across the river. The manager was very friendly & accomodating as we asked that they light a second gas heather. We ordered the cod & the salmon plates. Both were very good & the wine offered by the waitress went very well with fish. My only complaint is that they should offer bread & butter with every meal. We will go back next time we are in town.
