great food, awful service. we were in there for 2.5 hours not because we wanted to be because our service took forever, was overall just rude since the first interaction & almost avoided us during the night. the waiter took our food & bread away rudely without asking if we were done (which we were not). then proceeded to take another 30 minutes to bring us our check until we had to ask another server to bring it over. one friend was supposed to leave the tip for the entire check & it got confused & she thought she added on a tip because the machine glitched & did not add the tip. he asked us'no one's leaving a tip' & she said i did. she had her phone charging by the front & asked our waiter to grab it (it was in an area for workers) & he said'since you didn't tip, i'm not helping you' then she tried to explain she thought she did & he just walked away in the middle of the sentence. the issue could not even be resolved. he then would not tell her where the phone was & she had to ask the bartender. i tip every single time i am at a restaurant, but understand it is absolutely not required & this situation was extremely unprofessional considering our bill will over $300. it's a shame, the food here is absolutely amazing & i've been here plenty of times, the service is slow but absolutely nothing like this. i've never experienced a rude & dismissive server here before. disappointing.

This was a real mixed bag. Ambiance was excellent as was most of the food & service. I ordered a Hendricks martini & they put olive juice in it. When I tried to return it, the waiter pushed back. I finally said I can't drink this, at which point the bartender comes over & says'my bad', & gave me a fresh drink. They also were pushing drinks very hard at the table. Most of our party didn't drink. We were then notified that we only had the table 1.5 hrs. Wait. What? It seemed like since there was no drinking, we weren't welcome. The table next to us were there before we arrived & drinking. They hadn't even gotten their food by the time we left. By 1.5 hrs, they asked if they could bring us the check. No coffee. No dessert. You get the drift ?
There were tables open all around us as well as the'entire second floor'. I go out all the time & never experienced anything like this. (& it was a Wednesday night).
Nous avons passé une excellente soirée au restaurant Jacopo à Montréal ! Le cadre est magnifique, l'ambiance chaleureuse & la cuisine tout simplement délicieuse, pleine de saveurs italiennes authentiques.
Un grand merci tout particulièrement à notre serveur Léo, qui a rendu l'expérience encore plus mémorable. Son accueil souriant, ses conseils avisés pour le choix des plats ainsi que son professionnalisme ont été irréprochables. On sent qu'il aime son métier & qu'il a à coeur de faire vivre un moment unique à ses clients.
Grâce à lui, nous avons découvert de superbes accords & nous nous sommes régalés . Nous recommandons vivement Jacopo, non seulement pour la qualité de sa cuisine, mais aussi pour le service exceptionnel de Léo.
Nous reviendrons sans hésiter !

This was our first visit to Jacopo & we absolutely loved it. Our server Aurelia was amazing: friendly, informative, & patient (we couldn't decide on drinks to start off & Aurelia helped us with her recommendations). & the food was amazing!! Will absolutely come back next time we are in Montreal!!

Nestled in the heart of Old Montreal, Jacopo delivers a dining experience that blends rustic Italian charm with refined, contemporary seafood dishes. On my recent visit, I was treated to two standout plates that perfectly showcased the restaurant's dedication to quality ingredients & elegant flavors. Thank you Dugan & Pearre for the free cake that you guys gave us for my Husband & I honeymoon celebration
We had a wonderful time at Jacopo in Montreal! Our servers, Dugan & Julien, were amazing & so friendly. I had the linguine pescatore & it was divine. I ate every bite. & then had the tiramisu, which was equally delicious. Great time & I highly recommend it!
