Quebec comfort food, far from the commercial chicken of our competitors. We use high-tech equipment to offer a superior quality product!Bigger pieces of chicken than you already know!A fried and crispy delight!
Jack le Coq is widely praised for its fried chicken, with tenders and larger pieces described as juicy inside and crispy outside, and sauces ranging from spicy to sweet are often highlighted. Portions are generous and flavors consistent, with many saying the chicken is excellent and the menu items like burgers and wraps are solid, set in a retro diner ambiance with neon lighting and arcade vibes. Price is a common talking point, with some reviewers calling it pricey for the portions and some noting sauce and sides can push up the cost. Service and cleanliness receive mixed feedback: some visits are fast, friendly, and efficient, while others report slow service, errors in orders, long waits, and dirty tables or bathrooms. The experience can be influenced by the venue's crowd level and takeout timing, with some lines and takeout orders feeling rushed or mishandled. A notable caution is raised about halal status: although claimed, the grill is shared with pork, leading to cross contamination concerns for some diners. Overall, the quality of the chicken and the retro atmosphere stand out, making return visits likely for the chicken, though improvements in service consistency and cleanliness would elevate the experience.
Poulet, sauce & fromage très bon mais Frites congelées dégueulasses mais par contre le service est impeccable & les 2 jeunes filles au comptoir sont vraiment sympas , beaucoup trop cher pour ce que c'est

We waited forever to get our food. Took 30+ minutes, saw several uber driver just loose patience & leave the restaurant. We were a group of 4, all take out, 1 person got their poutine super fast, the 3 other waited 30 minutes for the food. I don't have to tell you how cold his poutine was when we got home.
For the 3 others though, red tendies were good, the jack burger was good & the wrap too.

The food here was actually quite good - fresh, flavorful, & came out in a timely manner. If the space were properly cleaned, I could see it being a great hangout spot, since the layout & vibe were otherwise quite enjoyable.
Unfortunately, the overall experience was soured by the service & cleanliness. Our server got our order wrong, & when we politely corrected it (well before the kitchen had started on it), she was noticeably passive-aggressive & audibly annoyed for the rest of our time there. Even when asking for a takeout box, the tone & attitude made us feel unwelcome - like we were a burden rather than guests.
On top of that, the floors were clearly unmopped, the whole place felt grimy, & the women's bathroom door didn't even lock, which felt like a basic safety concern being overlooked.
It's a shame because the food & potential atmosphere are there, but the lack of cleanliness & unwelcoming service make it hard to recommend without some serious improvements.
