After trying several courses . I could definitely tell the chief is from China . All the dishes taste like Chinese flavored rather than Japanese . Service is good & the food is not reach my expectations

The cocktails were good but the food was very average. All the dishes were high in fat. The signature menu didn't have any signature. I ate almost nothing. The service was nice & friendly.
We are staying across the street & saw their website & the great reviews. Made a reservation & sat at a great table with an amazing server, Shaun!!! He gave us suggestions on wine & several plates which were all delicious. His service was impeccable & he even brought me a special dessert for my birthday 🎈.
This place is fantastic & if we lived here we would be regulars. Thanks Shaun for making our evening special.
The food at Izu Izakaya was absolutely outstanding! We have sesame & tree nut allergies, & the staff went above & beyond to accommodate us with safe & delicious substitutions. Our server, Eve, provided excellent service & made the entire experience even better. We can't wait to return-& truly wish they would open a location in Kitchener-Waterloo!
I can't say enough - the food is solid & the staff is very knowledgeable about what they have & are ready to help with recommendations. Super cool & chill atmosphere, you can easily hear the music, but don't have to yell to carry a conversation. We literally came for lunch & came back for dinner the same night. Ask for Shaun- he's fantastic!
Came for the first time with a friend before we went to see a show at place des arts. Great service, explained everything as we decided to share food. Even suggested that we hold off on a few items as we picked a lot & could still order more later if we required.
Food was delicious, enjoyed all the dishes, our favorites were the pork ribs & green beans.
Had a late lunch with the family there today. Food & atmosphere were amazing!! Our waiter Shaun was so delightful & very knowledgeable. He gave us some sake bombs which we completely messed up doing but laughed so hard afterwards. Thanks for the memorable experience Shaun & the team at Iru Izakaya!! Will be back
J'ai récemment découvert ce restaurant & je suis tombée sous le charme. Je dois mentionner que les plats sont délicieux, le menu est créatif & l'équipe est accueillante. Il y en a pour tous les goûts. De façon générale, le personnel est attentif à nos besoins culinaires & très disponible. Le décor raffiné & élégant nous rappelle les vacances. Ma serveuse Ève, de part son sourire radieux, m'a donner un service impéccable du début à la fin. Le personnel professionnel apporte une ambiance conviviale afin de rendre notre repas mémorable. Même le mixologue à qui j'ai eu la chance de parler est tellement passionné qu'on le ressent lorsque l'on déguste un drink digne de ses créations. J'en profite pour souligner le concept original des salles de toilettes...c'est à voir!!! C'est officiellement un endroit parfait pour un dîner en amoureux, un repas entre amis ou même une occasion spéciale. Je reviendrai sans hésiter !
stunning restaurant with beautiful neon signs & it's spotless, perfectly clean! excellent service who knows the details of every dish on the menu. fois gras smoked dumplings are amazing! grilled cow tongue equally as good. sweet potato dumplings are delightful. green beans with gochujang, amazing.
yes there's a theme here, the place is beautiful & the food is amazing. based on my experience i would try everything on the menu!
Wow! Wow, !accueil vraiment bien, service de Vincent 5* ,nourriture 10* ,nous sommes propriétaires de restaurant depuis 40ans ,nous aimons la bonne bouffe ! Nous nous sommes tellement régaler 6 plats a partager a 3 personnes, tout les plats étaient délicieux. Le vin les aperos, rien a dire de négatifs ! On se revoit très bientôt !
