The dishes were fresh, flavorful, & beautifully presented. Excellent service & a cozy izakaya vibe. Definitely coming back!
Its very rare in these times to deliver delicious food & good customer service in hospitality industry, but Iru Izakaya does the best of both worlds. I am really impressed by the service whether it's a pickup or dine-in. The atmosphere & the staff are very elegant. Highly recommend this place !!
Iru Izakaya in Brossard is fantastic! Delicious food, beautiful presentation, & a cozy atmosphere. The staff is very friendly, & the whole experience was excellent. Highly recommend!
Honestly a really fun & nice Izakaya. Staff were awesome & super helpful offering both help & recommendations. Quick turn around on food & not too pricey for what the quality provides.
Fantastic food, service & gotta love the sake bombs! Amazing to have such a great izakaya on the South Shore.
I had dinner at this restaurant recently. The food was okay-honestly, a bit disappointing, though that may be due to my high expectations when it comes to Izakaya-style dining.
As for the service, it was a mixed experience. There was one server who truly stood out: a kind, attentive young woman with a lovely smile & beautiful hair. Her warmth & professionalism made a real difference in my evening.
On the other hand, the bald female server was quite the opposite-dismissive & inattentive. While she seemed to interact normally with other tables, she consistently ignored my table when I needed assistance or wanted to place an order. I can't say for sure what her reasons were (maybe racism) , but her attitude left a very negative impression.
Honestly, if it weren't for the sweetheart server, this review would have been much harsher. I sincerely hope tips go directly all to her- I would have tipped 20%, she truly deserved it. But since it's shared with that bald female server, I only tipped 15%.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. I've had much better Izakaya elsewhere. For example, Yama offers better taco maki, & many other places serve higher-quality sashimi on rice & shareable dishes at similar price points. Next time, I'll be dining elsewhere.
Sharing plates were good. Have had better Izakaya in Montreal. Main, not great. Seemed it was under heat warmer for too long. Ramen noodles had soaked up all broth by time it came to table. Service- forgot to submit order for additional starter, plus submitted incorrect order. Steak instead of ribs. Overall won't be returning.
I've ordered 2 calamari which the picture on the menu show a average size one, ai received 2 tiny calamari, ordered the tuna tataki salad, the tuna was grainy & gritty, barely any taste, ordered several other things & overall the food experience wasn't that good, I've been to several Izakaya & this is my least favorite one. So sad because I was going there for a proposal dinner with ally family. Disappointed that's the word that comes to mind. Wouldn't go again.
The food was great, portions a bit on the small side but remember: this is an Izakaya: like Japanese tapas, but good flavor, we had a complementary matcha ice cream along with waffles for the birthday girl: thanks!!
We had an amazing dining experience at Iru Izakaya. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly received & the service was impeccable. Jean Francois made sure everything was perfect for our party of 4. The food was absolutely delicious! The Gyoza Beef, the Chicken Karaage & Yakiniku marinated beef were among my favourite dishes. To top it all off, the Yuzu dessert was to die for. We will definitely return to enjoy more of this fantastic service & cuisine. Highly recommend!
Felix was rude at te begining. He touched my jacket which on my side chair. Without saying anything. He could atleast tell me. Then i saw the costumer beside us also occupying another chair for his jacket & bag. I dont mind removing it. But touching it without a word is kinda disrespect. The name izakaya is japanese. I thought they will have the attitude same way back in in my homeland japan. Just ruined my mood.
