We arrived (4) people & greeted by the "owner" & promptly brought us to our table upstairs. It was a very busy Friday evening & seemed they were a bit short staffed. Our waiter, Evan, was like being on the 100 meter dash as he was buzzing away & offering great service to us & all his tables. He was excellent & attended to us as if it was the only table that's how great he was. We received our drinks & food in a timely fashion. Everyone enjoyed their food except my friends wife orders the lasagna, very good, but the bottom layer was overcooked/burnt that she could not slice it with her knife & subsequently did not eat the last layer. Everything else was perfect! Overall great evening & experience!! Definitely a must go for dinner!!
Nice place on the waterfront in Lachine. Sorry to say but I wasn't blown away by the food, it wasn't horrible, tasted ok but not really that impressive. The drinks we ordered were miniscule for the price (old fashioned) & I think they got the other one wrong (margherita, but they brought a senorita).
The portions are not always large, depending on what you order. The service is ok, but I have had definitely more friendly service elsewhere. The staff kept brushing up against our backs because our table was in the middle of the restaurant where the waiters & waitresses passed. The food is good but overpriced by FAR! We just had two main course & two desserts & paid around $125 plus tip. This restaurant has an outdoor upstairs balcony/terrace but the entire upstairs was not even open, even though the main floor was almost full. You can do better than Il Fornetto! I wouldn't go again.
I really wanted to like the food more than I did. It was very bland. The appetizer soup had no flavor, I had to add salt, which I very rarely do, especially in a restaurant. I opted for the boar main dish since I've never had it before. It tasted like a basic pork chop with steak spice on it, really nothing special. The setting & ambience are very nice but for good Italian food there are many better choices in the city.
J'y suis allé pour la première fois en après-midi avec mon équipe de travail. Mon drink, les pâtes, le gâteau aux carottes, les portions, le service...tout était super! J'ai hâte d'y retourner de soir, l'ambiance semble parfaite pour un diner intime!
A little bit crowded. Next table very loud & sometimes very load. Problem with parking but it could be to temporary traffic restriction.
Nous sommes allés pour un diner de fête en famille. Pizzas corrects mais rien d'extraordinaire. Mon père a commandé un plat de pate sauce Arabiatta. Le plat arrive & il sent & goute le brulé. Mon père demande de changer son plat mais même situation pour le deuxième plat. Le serveur (Evens) dit que la sauce est bonne malgré que nous avons été 3 a y goutés. Je le regarde retourner a la cuisine avec un sourire arrogant (en pensant que personne ne l'a vu) & dès qu'il entre dans la cuisine il hoche la tète. Son attitude arrogante n'avait pas sa place & ceci ne donne pas envie d'y retourner.
Restaurant chaleureux, le personnel est super gentil & souriant. Une belle variété au menu!!!

Amazing food, great location, & service was 10 on 10. The calamar was fresh, & all our pastas were amazing.
Excellente nourriture ! Belle sélection de vin. Service adéquat sans plus. Le serveur était efficace mais peu chaleureux ni souriant.
The staff were very professional & kind. Food was amazing & the upstairs terrace was perfect for a summer evening. I will definitely come back & would recommend this restaurant.
