This was my third or fourth visit to Il Fornetto over the past 12 years, & once again it didn't disappoint. We had a lovely second-floor table overlooking the canal & park, & our waitress was warm, friendly & attentive. But the food was the real star.

Every dish showed the quality of the ingredients & the care in preparing them. The burrata was exceptionally fresh with flavourful tomatoes & good balsamic. The sausage with caramelized onions & balsamic reduction was outstanding, thanks in large part to a genuinely excellent sausage. Even the prosciutto & melon from the table d'hôte was memorable-beautifully sliced prosciutto & probably the sweetest melon I've ever tasted.

My veal & ricotta ravioli special was superb. The homemade pasta was tender but still al dente, with a beautifully balanced rosé sauce that tasted of fresh tomato-just the right balance of acidity, sweetness & cream, with little tastes of excellent olive oil adding richness. My husband's lamb shank was fork-tender with a deeply flavourful sauce & just the right touch of rosemary.

After several visits spanning more than a decade, Il Fornetto continues to get the important things right: excellent ingredients, thoughtful cooking, lovely surroundings & genuinely good service. An easy 5 stars.

J'adore ce restaurant ! Pour la nourriture, le service mais surtout la qualité & des produits frais. C'est le restaurant que j'ai choisi pour mon anniversaire.

Nous avons été un peu déçu par nos repas, aucun wow même que ma lasagne était très salée, j'ai retiré le fromage du dessus. Les autres assiettes étaient bonnes tant qu'au service tant qu'à lui a été impeccable, très gentil & souriant. Le restaurant par lui même très chaleureux & avec une belle vue & avec plusieurs terrasse. La vraie question est-ce que j'y retournerai? Non car c'est très loin de chez moi

J'ai gouté des différents assiettes, c'est overpriced pour la qualité. Je dirais que leur spécialité est plutôt le pizza.

Always a pleasant experience for lunch.. staff were very attentive & pleasant. The Caesar salad was basically just lettuce & dressing (which was good), but nothing else.. the signature pizza & dessert were excellent.

Stepped by the place on our way home from an evening walk. The kitchen was about to close yet they seated us & served us a great tasting pizza in 10 minutes. Will be coming back for sure.
