What i like about this restaurant is that the servers help each other to give service/assistance to every customer. Unlike other restaurants, one customer is assigned to 1 server only. So even if they see you need assistance, they will turn a blind eye because they are not assigned to you. Everyone here greets you with a smile. Even the bakers beside the oven welcomed us with a smile. Very relaxing atmosphere. The food was really great too. I will always recommend this place to others because im 100 percent sure that the quality of food & service will be topnotch.
We have been going to this restaurant for 38 years & still has the same great taste & ambience.
Between the four of us we had risotto porcini, seafood ravioli, scallopini, prosciutto & melon. All were very much to our expectations. Our server was excellent, very attentive, pleasant & helpful.
Great ambience but the food is dismal. The sugo for the pasta bolognese was too sweet & without flavor, closer to Chef Boyardee. The quality of the pasta is very low. No olive oil offered with the bread. I live in Italy. This place would never survive here.
Service was great, location terrace was great. Calamari tender & worth trying if you go. It's a bit pricy for the quality of food, in my opinion.
Il Fornetto has been a part of my life for over 20 years-growing up, I visited often with my parents & siblings, & last night I returned with my partner. It's wonderful to see this restaurant still delivering that classic Italian experience. The food met my expectations-consistent & well-prepared, with a traditional approach to Italian cuisine. I had the Risotto al Funghi, which was creamy with a slight al dente bite, just as it should be 🙌🏽. The Polpette della Nonna were also nicely done, not overpowering with spices or garlic, making them enjoyable for all palates. Their fire oven pizza, with its thin crust, was delicious, & shall I add that the oven itself is a beautiful centerpiece. The atmosphere remains cozy & inviting, perfect for both small & larger gatherings. Service was excellent, as always-attentive & welcoming. Definitely worth the visit!
Good food quality. Probably the best terasse i Lachine. Good service. A little bit expensive but worth it for the quality.
Très bon resto italien, les pâtes & le veau sont excellents ,le steak aussi les vins sont abordables & les serveurs sont professionnels
Our favorite place in Lachine. Very cozy place because the spot is very nice on the riverside. The food is excellent! We always make reservations on the second floor to enjoy the beautiful view .Highly recommend. Their pizza is the Best!
We've been coming here for 30 years & it has been consistently great. One of my downtown friends joined me there this week & he raved about it competing favourably with any "townie" spot. Just don't go during Grand Prix week or Valentine's day... way too busy. Everything on the menu is every good, & the pizza is excellent.

Has a really lux atmosphere at a bargain price point. The upstairs is really nice with a fireplace, linen tablecloths & great views on the terrace. We had the pizza which was excellent
One of the best Pizza's & pastas in montreal. Delicious. Service is great. Prices are affordable. Location is amazing, facing the canal.
The food as usual was excellent. My husband & i have been coming to this restaurant for more than 30 years. Food is always great, the service is fantastic & the ambiance is marvelous. I have to say though that last night the noise level seemed higher than usual.
Great meal & service. Must be amazing when weather is nicer with the view on the river.
