Since 1984 clients have been coming to Il Focolaio to get that authentic Italian taste that is reminiscent of their grandmother’s cooking. Il Focolaio, in fact means fireplace in Italian. The name depicts the maple wood burning oven where each and every one of our pizzas and roasted ingredients are cooked. Our fireplace, as in the old country, not only brings forth the food but also becomes the gathering place for our clients who always feel welcomed and right at home. Our recipe for success is simple, serving up pizza using ingredients that only a true pizzaiolo would use, such as extra virgin olive oil, top quality tomatoes and only the freshest ingredients, all prepared with passion and a love for cooking to bring you the end result that you will never forget. De l'attente mais ça valait le coup !!
Les pizzas sont très bonnes mais le choix est difficile (75 pizzas à la carte).

We went to Il Focalio terrific, best pizza in Montreal. We all loved it & the salads are really terrific. I had the grilled vegetables salad with pizza with tomatoe sauce & seafood, to die for....Everybody loved it & the beer very good, Russe...Very welcoming our waiter, Costa very nice & service very fast. I would give it 10 starts..Great job guys...

Très agréablement surprise par ce restaurant !
Nous avons été rapidement accueilli, & le service est très courtois.
Il y a plus d'une vingtaine de choix de pizza (elles ont toutes l'air exquise!).
J'ai pour ma part essayer "La Renaissance" & je la recommande.

C'est de très loin LA meilleure pizza (cuite au four à bois) à Montréal, incluant Laval & Rive-Sud. Extra savoureuse, généreuse en ingrédients frais, croûte croustillante & moelleuse.

Choix de pizza incroyablement diversifié à prix plus que raisonnable.

Le service est efficace & rapide... mais froid.

Mon bémol: Le bruit est presque insupportable lorsque salle comble. Le restaurant est plutôt petit. Les tables sont petites & le monde est entassé.

Le proprio devrait sérieusement songer à ouvrir un Il Focolaio dans la Petite-Italie. Ca ferait fureur !

I have been to Pizza Il Focolaio many times & the pizza is fantastic I have never been dissatisfied. The waiters have always been pleasant & has a nice ambiance. I always mention it to all my friends & a few have tried & love it. I will continue to go there.

À mon avis, Il Focolaio est de loin la meilleure pizzéria de Montréal. La variété de pizzas est immense, en plus des salades, calzonis & desserts (leur gelato est absolument délicieux). Leurs pizzas sont absolument divines, le fromage fond dans la bouche & les ingrédients se mélangent à la perfection. Le service est tout simplement excellent & le décor nous transporte facilement en Italie avec sa terrasse & ses tableaux des paysages de la Botte.

À essayer absolument!

Chaque visite est difficile. Il y a trop de choix, tous excellents jusqu'à maintenant. L'endroit est bondé à chacune de nos visites, mais les serveurs ont le temps de nous parler comme si nous étions des amis. Très sympa.

Pizza au four à bois excellente. La Di Carciofi (6) & la Tartufo (74) sont très goûteuses. Rabais sur les commandes en livraison. Un endroit de choix pour manger bon & pas cher en plein centre-ville.

Nous y sommes allés pour l'anniversaire de naissance de Dr. Brussolo. Les serveurs italiens sont bien aimables & la pizza est délectable. Je me suis laissé tenté par la Said (numéro 62) avec entre autres jambon épicé & saucisses italiennes. Avec un peu d'huile piquante, le plaisir est magistral. Les prix sont très raisonnables, pas de soucis pour les gens insolvables. J'y retournerai sans cesse.
