Absolutely BOMB
Me & my friend had the Shoyu with chicken instead of pork & it was genuinely the most amazing ramen I've had. The eggs were delicious & the chicken was so savoury, the broth had me nutting & everything else about the dish was genuinely orgasmic. We had mochi's for dessert & we loved them.
The interior was so cute! We were geeking out over the little cat figurines (some had a pair if balls & we found that amusing)
Service was good too! There was only one person, not sure if he was the owner or not, but he was super nice & friendly!!
10/10, will be returning. There's gotta be crack in the food.
Overall I had a great experience at IKU Ramen overall 4.5/5
So I work in the area & decided to try Iku Ramen on a rainy Monday cause it felt like that kind of day.
Walk inside not a giant place but warm with nice aesthetic touches. I thought the glass was frosted for privacy but it was just steam fogging it up but hey a win is a win .
Sit anywhere you want, & they have an interested layout where the inside is shaped like the letter m, with private bar seatings on the outside & a few dining tables inside .
Host very friendly, attentiveand helpful with the menu & options. Menu itself is simple & pretty short , just 1 double sided sheet which had plenty of options.
I like a bit of spice so was recommend the Tan Tan & grabbed some imperial rolls cause, fat is a choice not an accident, that's called commitment.
The order was brought very quickly which is great when ur on a tight window for lunch. Imperial rolls were just fine but the ramen was excellent, visually & taste wise. Well seasoned porc, spciy but still tasty & well balanced broth to content ratio.
No notes & I'll be back.
Stopped by Iku Ramen on a cold, snowy day when all I wanted was a steaming hot bowl of comfort. I went straight for the spicy miso ramen, & it did not disappoint.
The broth was rich & flavourful with the perfect kick, the noodles were perfectly chewy, & every spoonful felt like a warm hug against Montreal's winter.
A special shoutout to the waiter too. He was incredibly friendly & polite, the kind of service that instantly makes a place feel welcoming. He checked in just enough without hovering & genuinely made the whole experience even better.
If you're freezing, hungry, & craving something cozy that actually delivers, Iku Ramen might become your new winter ritual.
This'hole-in-the-wall' ramen spot is a hidden gem in the city. The service was super attentive & friendly. We also loved the cat-themed décor, & since it was Halloween, there was a cup filled with complimentary sweets on each table. It is the little touches like this that make the experience more enjoyable.
We ordered the Uchiha & Tonkatsu ramen. The chashu was tender & the garnishes were generous. Our only critique is that the tonkotsu broth was a little bland for our taste - we personally prefer a richer, more umami flavor. But overall, the ramen was great value for the price.
It's cramped & the ramen itself was a little bland. The meat of the tonkatsu wasn't a bit overcooked & the broth itself was bland. The service was decent but they're understaffed. Overall, there are other ramen shops I'd recommend in the neighborhood instead.
I am a japanese ramen fan, I will do anything to try out all of them in Montreal! This place being located on the busy wellington street, this cute small place where I found a lot of tiny small cat figures ( very cute actually) you will have to street park We ordered the tonkatsu ramen & the black garlic ramen. the noodles were not soggy, they tasted more like handmade noodles to me just perfect the way i like them to be. the ingredients inside were generously given, the pork, judas ears mushrooms, the marinated eggs(so delicious) but a little too many corns though? maybe for those who love corns they wouldn't mind as for the broth i think it could be a little better, it was a little blend not much flavor. i wished to be more thicker? But we still enjoyed our bowl & left happy Will i still go back? yes for sure i would love to try their other bowls Thank you for the waiter who was kind enough to clean the mess on our table, good service!
Absolutely delicious, the broth is perfect & not too salty! Service is fast, staff is super nice. MUST try the hash browns I dream of them.
Ramen noodles were perfectly al dente, chicken broth was flavourful without too much salt (the vegetarian broth could've used a touch more along with spice). Prices were very reasonable.
Came here with a friend & had a good enough time. I ordered the tonkotsu & we shared the takoyaki. The ramen was good, I liked everything about it, except the broth which I thought lacked flavor. Restaurant was awkwardly quiet & everyone can hear everyone else's conversation. Overall, it was a sold ramen but unfortunately many other better places in Montreal. Personally, won't be coming back here but that's not to say that this place wasn't good.
