We had such a great experience at Ichigo on Friday night! The service, the drinks & the food were all fantastic. Every dish was incredible, but our particular favourites were the Yakisoba noodles & the Yuzu tuna. Definitely recommend for a great Izakaya spot in Montreal.View more

I loved the black cod & the drinks were superb. Every single dish we had tasted soo good I forgot to take pictures ! Even though the tables are really close together & it can get noisy, the service was delightful & the staff was really attentive.

Amazing service! The food was spectacular. I took my mom to Montreal for her first time & this was our last meal. Also her first izakaya. They treated her with such kindness & she was so happy. Dined in a couple of nights ago (it was recommended by a friend) & enjoyed everything that we ordered! Very tasty, fresh & their Mr. Miyagi cocktail is also amazing (I had 3 of them)! Food was great, the service was wonderful, the food suggestions were on point. Quite noisy, but it is a sign that the restaurant is well known & appreciated. I highly recommend the black cod, the octopus beignets & the beef or tuna tatakis. The noodle dishes are really yummy too.View more

Get the Fuji pork. Would call it life changing. Somehow it is lean enough that we thought it was beef. The apple miso pairs perfectly with the pork. Juicy tasty flavorful & another 200x positive adjectives. Also got the black cod fire. Teppanyaki beef is a little gimicky would not recommend. Carbonara & ramen big rec.View more

Food was really good, better than most ramen places I've tried in NYC. But it was crowded. Like extremely crowded. Wait time is like 2 hours. So we just did take out instead. I recommend you get take out, it takes a long time to get a seatView more

I have been here four times. It was awesome four times. Everything is so clean & organized (& you can see it all because the kitchen is open & the bar is in the dining room). The service is always great. You almost always have to wait a little because they're so popular (I only just figured out they do take reservations!) but its fully worth it & its never long. The food comes out fast & it's excellent. The drinks too. Beautiful presentation & delicious. Not going to lie I kind of envy the staff getting to eat their staff meals here. I recommend this place to anyone who will listen.View more

By far my absolute favourite Ramen in the city! Their broths are so flavourful & their ramen always hits the spot. I prefer going to Ichigo Ichie, cause it's more of an izakaya. Their cocktails are great, the atmosphere is warm & their have great food in addition to the ramen. Their takoyaki is a right side dish with the ramen & so is the yuzu tuna tataki, the tataki has the right amount of zest & a great bite it, since they don't slice it too thing . Also, I highly recommend the black cod, it just melts in your mouth. If you have a sweet tooth, their black sesame Tiramisu is out of this world. The only drawback is that they don't take reservations & there is always a wait, but definitely worth the wait!View more
via LibroThe food was great, but it is quite annoying that we couldn't order off the ramen menu just because we reserved. Maybe it makes sense for later reservations, but we reserved for 18:00, & when I got there the place was practically empty. If I had just walked in off the street we would have been good to go, but because I reserved we were restricted to the Izakaya menu, which to be fair was excellent anyway so can't really complain. I'd recommend not bothering with reservations unless you know you plan to go at a busy time.

The place can get a bit cramped, & I strongly recommend booking in advance if you have a party of more than 2 towards the end of the week, but it has a great atmosphere for a guys or girls night out. I also recommend the spot for a casual date as there are some fun appetizers to share like the karage & the cocktails are decent as well. The ramen is decent & the prices are fairly reasonable.View more

I recently visited this Japanese restaurant during the Montreal à Table event & it was a delightful experience! Our highlight was undoubtedly the first course, "Guy tartare" - a culinary marvel where the flavors blended seamlessly, creating a memorable start. The second course, "salmon confit with fennel", was perfectly cooked but pretty bland to our taste. However, the meal picked up again with the creamy & flavorful "mushroom mazemen". The restaurant's popularity was clear, with a line outside even at 5pm. Definitely a place I'd recommend to friends.View more

via LibroOur server was very very nice, I didn't get his name unfortunately, the food was extremely delicious, the service wasn't fast or slow, they didn't make us feel like we had to scarf down our food & leave. I had to move the reservation from 7:15pm to 9:15pm not only did they move my reservation but they were so nice about it & cordial. Definitely recommend & this has become my favorite hidden gem. If I could I would rate it a 10 out 5. LOVED IT
via LibroJapanese izakaya dishes with wafu inspired nuanced & delicate flavours. I'd recommend staying with the more traditional Japanese dishes as some of the fusion dishes don't always live up to their menu description. One of my go to restaurants in Montreal.

via LibroBest Asian-inspired meal I've ever had. Great music & atmosphere. Young funky crowd. Worn minimalist wooden furniture in a dark, casual space. Fun, innovative cocktails. Amazing Asian dishes served tapas style, each with a creative, surprising spin. We loved the ichigo tonic cocktail & ichigo IPA, a deep-fried eggplant dish, the udon noodles with mushrooms, the black cod, & especially the hamachi sashimi. Service was superb — friendly, knowledgeable, & efficient. Even the desserts were great — tiramisu matcha & a donut dish. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Loved this place. This is my absolute Japanese restaurant in Montreal. The food is always fantastic & no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal.

via LibroAn excellent take on an Izakaya with a number of fusion dishes. The radish salad & marinated mackeral are to die for, not to mention the grilled squid. Being half Japanese & having lived in Japan for many years, I'd recommend this restaurant highly.
