Their famous ramen is very good, but this restaurant also has amazing side dishes. I had one of the best takoyakis in town. Their karaage is also worth trying. On the other hand, the space isn't too large, & it is usually pretty crowded inside.View more

Well known local establishments like Ichigo Ichie can sometimes be disappointing but not in this case!
We sat upstairs above the main ramen floor (note that they are different restos with different menus). The basement is a speakeasy, main floor is ramen & top is this izakaya.
The food is phenomenal, with each plate having a unique taste & harmony of flavours.
The service was speedy, polite & we thoroughly enjoyed the quality.
The atmosphere is casual & relaxed but still chic. A perfect date spot for a couple in my opinion.

Lorsque vous réservez a cet endroit vous appartenez à une sous classe ou votre choix de menu est limité aux tapas. Comme nous sommes arrivés très tôt & qu'il semblait y avoir de la place pour les ramen, nous avons demandé à être changé de « section » ce qui a été refusé.
Il y avait quelque chose de frustrant à voir nos voisins de table avoir droit à la soupe & pas nous.
La serveuse était limite désagréable & incompétente. Sous sa recommandation, nous avons pris 3 plats par personne ce qui était beaucoup trop malgré que nous sommes de bons mangeurs. Elle a oublié de nous servir nos verres.
Bref, le mauvais service était probablement une malchance mais le concept de menus différents est douteux & ne peux mener qu'à une frustration. Comme je n'ai pas l'intention de retourner & n'ayant pu profiter des Ramen à cet endroit je continue de penser que le Neo Tokyo est le meilleur restaurant de Ramen en ville!View more

I usually enjoy this restaurant, but my latest experience left much to be desired due to the attitude & policies of the staff. I made a reservation through Google Maps, not realizing that reservations didn't allow for ordering ramen (something we only found out after being seated).
When we arrived, there was no line or anyone waiting, & my group of five was promptly seated at a table. We were given menus, but it took quite a while before anyone came back to take our order. When we tried to order some tapas & ramen as our main course, the waitress informed us that, due to restaurant policy, ordering ramen wasn't allowed with a reservation.
What baffled me the most was how the situation was handled. The waitress consulted with multiple people, including the manager, who ultimately gave us two unreasonable options: leave, re-enter, & wait 45 minutes to order from the menu without ramen, or allow us to order only two bowls of ramen for a group of five. Despite my efforts to find a more reasonable solution, the manager made it clear they wouldn't be more accommodating.
In the end, we accepted the'exception' of ordering two ramen bowls, but the attitude & restrictions felt nonsensical, especially considering that the restaurant wasn't busy & we were already seated. This experience was frustrating & left a negative impression, despite how much I normally enjoy the place.View more

Get the Fuji pork. Would call it life changing. Somehow it is lean enough that we thought it was beef. The apple miso pairs perfectly with the pork. On a été reçues assez tard vers 22h sans réservation, on nous a informé que la cuisine fermait bientôt donc on a choisi & été servis super rapidement, c'était délicieux ! Ci-joint la photo du bon via lequel on chosit son ramen, en entourant ce qu'on veut dans le bol, c'est ensuite directement envoyé à la cuisine, c'est ludique & pratique !
