If you're looking for a korean bbq + AYCE sushi, Hoshi offers both without sacrificing the taste of either.

I would say the variety is hit or miss depending on if you wanted anything really specific, but I can't fault them for that as it isn't common for an AYCE to be both a sushi & a bbq place. It could also be that their lunch menu is different from their evening menu.

The food overall is good, the atmosphere feels inviting, & the staff are definitely worth praising for their friendly & outgoing attitude.

My bill for the lunch menu ended up being around 65$ before tips for 2 people, which isn't bad in my opinion.

If you got a car, or got easy bus access somehow, this place is solid & I can definitely recommend at least trying it once to see if you vibe with it.

Im at Mon Ami on St Jean Street right now & the food is so much better than Hoishi. The meat at Hoishi are super tough & no flavor at all. Dont waste ur time & just go to Mon Ami.

The slices of lamb are to die for *drools* For what you are paying it's totally worth it. Staff is amazing, food comes fast & water cup always filled. If I could eat here all the time & not gain weight, I would.

The servers were nice. The food was not good. Some of the avocado was almost spoiled, the'filet mignon' to cook on the bbq had too much pepper..I can go on & on but the worse part is the restaurant is filthy. Won't be going there again.

One of mine & my wife's favourite date night spots. Don't make reservations. Show up. Put your name down & then go to the arcade next door until your table is ready! One of the best Korean BBQ experiences in all of Montreal.
