Their beef tartare is an absolute must-try! It's the standard by which I compare all other beef tartares. I'm sure the other dishes are great, but I can't get myself to try anything else!

I had made reservation just before I went there, it confirmed right away. It was good start. It looked so busy at the moment, I was excited to have onion soup. But onion soup was not warm enough, only on top of the cheese was hot. Also it is too watery & not savory enough. My server didn't do qualty check for food, she just popped up when I got my food. I waited for taking my bill & billing out long time. Also I saw someone using their saliva to take off the table paper easily.
I highly recommend Duck confit, but I am not sure I am gonna come back.

I had an amazing dining experience at Holder. The manager of one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Toronto recommended this place, & it absolutely lived up to the recommendation.

I ordered the cold foie gras & the duck confit, & both were exceptional. The foie gras was fresh, delicate, & surprisingly light, with delicious accompaniments that perfectly balanced its richness. The duck confit was cooked to perfection-crispy on the outside, incredibly tender on the inside, & full of deep, rich flavor.

Every component of the dishes worked beautifully together, creating a meal with wonderful depth of flavor & perfect balance. The presentation was elegant, & the quality of the ingredients really stood out.

The service was also excellent. Everyone was warm, attentive, & professional, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable.

I can absolutely see why this restaurant was recommended to me.

If I could give this restaurant more than five stars, I would. Our waiter was very informative about the gluten-free options & made sure that the appetizers that my non-celiac boyfriend ordered were gluten free so that I could try them! Never thought I'd try beef tartare in my life, but when the dish came out with [very tasty] gluten-free crackers I simply had to - it was delicious. My shrimp entrée was amazing. Because there was a dedicated gluten-free fryer, I had to try the French fries too… they were perfectly crispy. Stellar service & good overall. Holder is a must-go for celiacs in Montreal!

My group had reserved a table for 12 for a family get together. They had us sit in two groups of six across from each other wasn't great because we could not have conversations with the othe table. Our server could not get any of the orders correct & had to come back to our table at least three times to ask us again what we ordered. The food itself was great. Then when it came time to get the bill, she gave me the bill for the entire table when I specifically told her that it will be all separate checks. It took her another three tries to have the bills done correctly. She was extremely rude

I made a reservation to this restaurant & am glad I did. It was dinner for Sunday night & the place was already busy. Loved my mussels, mule & creme brulee. My server was less than attentive but fully understand since it was a busy night. The price wasn't too bad either.

First experience at any sort of Bistro. Went here because the prices seemed fair & had a couple bucket-list food items of mine.

Everything exceeded expectations. The beef tartare & duck confit were better than I could ever had imagined. & the greens/potatoes alongside the duck? Insane. One of the best meals ever.

Wait staff was super polite despite me being a 1 person reservation at 9:30. I'm an American but they made me feel at home & were extremely kind.

I will always be back to visit whenever I find myself in Montreal.

Made a last minute reservation & was seated right away despite how busy it was & arriving 10 mins early. Service was very friendly & drinks/wine came quickly. All of us really enjoyed our food & dessert. Great ambiance. Would definitely recommend :)
