Real sweet & friendly service. I ordered the special & enjoyed the sandwich. The bread wasn't the crunchiest with a soft, warm interior but nevertheless I'm satisfied. The sandwich tasted more like a cross between a jambon buerre & classic banh Minh. The price was also very economical. The store also offers plenty of other Vietnamese delicacies. Great find near Jean Talon Market.
Today was my first time trying their banh mi. I used to go to hung phat every week end but today while walking around jean talon i found this place on the side road not far from jean coutu. So i decided to give this place a chance & wow no regret at all! They have some different banh mi that hung phat doesn't have like the beef curry that the one i tried. Love the banh mi i will come back again. Guys give it a try! Especially if you dont like crowded people like hung phat with long waiting line. They are good & kind! Oh you get a card if you accumulate 10 point by buying 10 banh mi you will get 1 free banh mi!
Coming from someone who frequently goes to the original location on St-Laurent for almost 3 decades, this location is Outstanding. First time (surprisingly) trying the St-Denis location this weekend & ordered 2 Specials banh mi (original with extra meats). They don't skimp out on the meats & the pickled veggies like a lot of locations recently + everything was super fresh (recently went to the St-Laurent location & was a major let down for some reason ; maybe a bad day), This actually rivals my favorite banh mi spot, which is located right in front (if you know, you know). Perfect 10/10 ! Will 100% be back!

Bel endroit pour des banh mi ce sandwich vietnamien incontournable de la street food vietnamienne! Les prix sont tout à fait raisonnables & les banh mi sont délicieux! J'ai goûté leur végétarien le soya sandwich, était bon & croustillant! Le service pour emporter est neutre, les employés travaillent machinalement, mais la fille à l'intérieur à l'épicerie était amicale & souriante 👌🏻 Ils vendent aussi des produits asiatiques & des petites pâtisseries vietnamiennes!

A small sign advertising a $6 Banh Mì caught my eye, & hunger piqued my curiosity enough to step inside. Upon entering, the restaurant presented itself as a bright, clean space. Though primarily set up for takeout with a few tables near the entrance, the ambiance was welcoming. The staff, several in number, greeted me with friendly smiles, adding to the warm atmosphere. With modest expectations given the price, I decided to indulge a bit by ordering the classic sandwich with extra meat for $7. The result was a delightful surprise. The Banh Mì was not just large but also boasted fresh ingredients cradled in perfect bread. It struck a fine balance, not overloaded with fillings yet satisfying in every bite, making the value simply outstanding. Hoàng Oanh has certainly earned a repeat customer in me. The experience was a testament to finding quality & taste in unexpected places. However, it's important to note that the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible, which is a significant drawback & something for potential patrons to consider.
