About

Hazukido specializes in the meticulous craft of Japanese-style shokupan croissants, utilizing premium ingredients imported directly from Japan. Each pastry undergoes a rigorous seventy-two-hour fermentation process to achieve a signature light, honeycomb texture and a perfectly crisp golden exterior. The menu highlights a diverse range of flavor profiles, spanning from classic buttery layers to intricate savory and sweet fillings like salted egg yolk, chocolate, and seasonal fruit infusions. State-of-the-art baking equipment ensures consistent quality across every batch produced on-site throughout the day. The industrial-modern aesthetic focuses entirely on the artisanal production process, allowing visitors to observe the precise folding techniques required to maintain structural integrity. This dedication to authentic techniques elevates the humble croissant into a refined, high-precision culinary product that prioritizes texture and ingredient transparency above all else.

Review Summary

Hazukido receives mixed feedback, with many patrons praising the variety, unique flavor combinations, and high-quality pastry lamination, while others find the pricing steep and the operating hours inconsistent. The croissants, including popular options like almond, chocolate hazelnut, and Biscoff, are frequently described as delicious and texturally satisfying, though some visitors noted occasional issues with freshness or limited availability. While the service is often highlighted as friendly and helpful, the physical space is sometimes perceived as lacking in seating or overall ambiance. Despite these minor criticisms, the general consensus reflects an appreciation for the craft behind the baked goods and the quality of the coffee offerings.

I love this one strawberry croissant with strawberry filling inside! 11/10

I went on a Saturday morning & bought four croissant for about 24$. I got the Strawberry Puree Custard who was fabulous. The cream inside was perfection & the croissant itself was buttery & flaky. It went downward from there. Next one was Pistachio & the filling was so liquid, it drip on my shirt. Third one was Caramel Almond & Custard. It was good but nothing special. Last & worse one was Hazelnut Chocolate. No filling, dry, chocolate tasted cheap, & I worked as chocolatier for years, a waste of money. I could return for the strawberry one, but not for the others.

The ice cream croissant I had (caramel) was amazing! I definitely recommend this to everyone. I also recommend the pistachio croissant, chocolate crookie & the strawberry cube croissant. Everything was fresh, buttery & the filling was flavourful! P.S. However, it seems like their croissant quality vary because when I visited last year, their croissants were dryer & missing some flavors. Also, it's on the pricier side (still a place to visit!)

Croissants are good not great. They're small for the price. The flavour/ filling could be more generous. The ice cream « cone » is a good idea but a bit plain. You can only get the regular croissant & vanilla ice cream + the flavour chosen which is barely noticeable. It's also very hard & messy to eat, would be better & an ice cream sandwich.

Too much croissant than its filling. Not returning here.
