The icy treats of this Jean-Talon Market staple will have your mouth watering no matter what the season. Ice cream and sorbet come in three sizes of cups or cones.
At Havre aux Glaces, reviews portray a go-to spot for sorbet and ice cream where flavors shine and seasonal changes keep things fresh; lemon, clementine, argousier, and passion fruit are cited among the best sorbet options seen in multiple cities in Canada and the US, while pistachio and matcha stand out in some scoops; prices can feel high for the small portions and one cone was described as tasting burnt, but the overall verdict emphasizes rich flavors made with real ingredients and a willingness to return to try more flavors; long queues are common, yet the staff are praised for friendly and helpful service, and the shop is noted for its many lactose-free options.
They have the best ice cream, period. Especially the sorbet flavors are the absolute best of what I have tasted in multiple cities in Canada & US. Lemon, clementine, argousier, passion fruit, etc. They are all so good. For sure I will be back to try all the flavors. Highly recommend it.

There's always a long queue when I passed by, so I decided to give it a try. It was expensive that $8 for 2 scoops but they were tasteful, seems like using a lot of ingredients as almost every lick I can see a whole pistachio in it & heavy matcha taste. Doesn't feel too sweet to me but I felt the cone tasted a little burned.
I would still recommend to try it yourself & enjoy the burst of flavors from the ingredients.
It tastes so real! Super tasty flavor bombs! I took pistachio (best I ever had), hazelnut & some caramel or maple one. It's weird that people call it gelato because she said it's artisanal ice cream. Gelato has no cream & more sugar. They were kind & let me taste a few. I picked a cup instead of cone. No place to sit but it's at jean-talon market, & there are pic nic rables nearby even in winter.
I don't know how they're able to contain all that flavour in a small cup, but it's just one of the most flavourful ice creams I've ever seen. They do capture the essence of the ingredient without fillers. My favourites are the brûlée caramel & chocolate. When they have porcini ice cream, run towards them. It is unusual but very delicious with all the umami
Excellentes crèmes glacées & sorbets! J'aime beaucoup leurs saveurs saisonnières, surtout la clémentine en hiver. Ils font aussi des gâteaux à la crème glacée & des pots de 500 ml à emporter.
