First hotpot experience but we really enjoyed our meal. Buffet had lots of options & everything we tried was tasty. We just went with the clear broth since we weren't sure what to expect & it was really good. Staff was friendly, everything was clean & they kept replacing items when they ran out.

Peu d'explications.
Peu d'accueil également.
Nourriture en quantité mais j'ai eu l'impression de manger du plastique.

A spacious & clean hot pot restaurant located on the second floor right at the main intersection of Chinatown in Montreal. It's easy to find, with large windows that make the space feel bright & airy. The atmosphere is calm & not too noisy.

The menu is not as diverse as the Toronto location, but the essentials are all there. The buffet offers a good range of basic options, & there is a wide selection of ingredients for hot pot. Some of the labels were slightly mixed up, which made it a bit confusing. Overall, the food looked clean & fresh, & the buffet area was refilled quickly & consistently.

I ordered the two-flavor broth: tomato & hot sour. The broth was slightly off in seasoning, not bad, but not very flavorful either. It could have been more balanced & bold.

There were about two to three staff members working. They were friendly & service was quick.

The price was around $40 per person (I don't remember the exact amount). It's suitable for family gatherings, dates, or casual meals with friends. Overall, it's a decent experience, but I wouldn't set very high expectations.

When I paid, I realized that they hide the tip option'no tip' by putting a sticker. & the staff pressed 15% tip for my bill, saying this is their policy & I must pay the tip. Forcing customers to tip is illegal in Quebec.

My wife was literally forced to pay 15% for a service she wasn't satisfied with. According to staff'it is restaurant policy when it's a group bigger than 6'. The employee went ahead & hit the 15% tip box in the machine. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Honestly this place would be better if there were more vegetarian options. There's really so much potential that the restaurant could do but all the bases except 2 are made with chicken broth & the actual'AYCE section' barely has vegetarian options so it feels like you're paying 35$+ per person for 10$ worth of food.

At least add more tofu options, vegetarian dumplings instead of meat dumplings & perhaps some veggie meats or alternatives.

Had a good experience here several times w family. We loved the lamb!

I grew up eating spicey food, I am not as hardcore as a Thai person, I found the spicey hotpot a bit spicier than I would've liked but still ok. But if you are unsure it's better to order the ting yang pot or another non-spicy one.

Update:

Still going there every few months, still flapping & still a happy little duck! 😍

Last time I went w my mom & the total was ~$50 for two people. (We went at lunch time n a weekday = special price). This was two months ago in Nov 2025 so, happy to see it's still quite affordable. We don't stuff ourselves (& we're pretty good about it) as we believe that is the best enjoyment… no sense trying to wreck the business's bottom line & our stomach, when $25 per person is REAAALLLY reasonable.

& yes we both love the lamb here. 😍😍😍😍

Considering the high cost of everything for restaurants these days I am glad they can keep a reasonable price. I try not to over order because food waste is awful, & it's hard enough for restaurants these days w the high cost of everything.

Service in my experience has always been good

After two years, I had a great experience at this hot pot restaurant again. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, with lots of vegetables, meats, & side items beautifully organized & kept clean. Everything tasted delicious, & you can really tell they care about quality. The staff were friendly & the overall atmosphere was comfortable. Highly recommended if you love hot pot!

I can tell this one deserves the best hotpot in Montreal! Guys you have to go there & have a try, bet me you would not be disappointed. So many kinds of foods you can eat. & try the newest upgraded meat with only more $5 needed, including better beef & lamb. Last but not least, their dumpling & wonton are really hand made, amazing!

The guy who wearing glass working the morning shift on January 2nd, 2026 displayed an extremely hostile, arrogant, & disrespectful attitude toward customers. The way customers were treated was humiliating & degrading, completely lacking even the most basic level of professionalism or courtesy expected in any restaurant.

What is even more alarming is not just the employee's behavior, but the apparent failure of management to enforce any standard of customer service. Allowing such conduct reflects a serious breakdown in training, supervision, & accountability. This is not a minor issue - it is a fundamental service failure.

I have never experienced such blatant disrespect in a dining establishment. This type of behavior does not merely inconvenience customers; it destroys trust & severely damages the restaurant's reputation. If this is the level of service being tolerated, then customers should seriously question the values & competence of the management team.

Immediate & decisive action is required. At minimum, this employee should be removed from any customer-facing role, & management must be held accountable for allowing this situation to occur. Anything less would demonstrate a complete disregard for customers.

This incident has ensured that I will not return, & I will strongly discourage others from doing so unless meaningful corrective action is taken.
