Stopped by for dinner & was really impressed. The food came out hot & tasted great, especially the jokbal. Portions were generous & everything felt fresh. Friendly staff & a comfortable atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back again.

We tried several types of jokbal, noodles, & gukbams. The kimchi was very good but others of the side dishes & kongnamul soup was salty, especially Bibim-Noodle was overly seasoned, & the signature bul-jokbal had no smoky flavor & wasn't spicy at all. The sundae gukbap was good. However, the pork gukbap had a very strong pork smell. I had to remove the meat from the broth immediately, & it was only manageable to eat after doing so.
Having had great experiences at Hanyang Jokbal in Toronto & Ottawa, I was excited to visit, but I was disappointed that the signature jokbals tasted quite different from what I remembered.
Still, the restaurant was clean & comfortable, & the staff were friendly, attentive.

The food was honestly really good. We ordered the jokbal & it was super tasty, flavourful & tender!!! They have a half-&-half option for the jokbal which is perfect if you're unsure which one to pick. We tried the spicy & garlic flavours. Both were really good & I'd recommend them. The sundae was also delicious. Portions are pretty big too! We had to take out.
The side dishes were great too. The kimchi & pickled daikon were especially good.
Service-wise, the staff were very nice & polite, but I think they still need to work on coordination & communication. When we arrived, the table next to us told us they had already been waiting about an hour & a half for their food. After we placed our order, another waitress came to our table about 5 minutes later asking what we had ordered & said they would make it right away. We later realized she may have confused our table with the one beside us, since they were the ones who had been waiting for so long.
We ended up getting our food pretty quickly, but the table next to us eventually left because they had waited too long. From what we saw, they were only offered free drinks, which I personally don't think was enough after waiting that long. At that point, I feel like a free meal or a better form of compensation would have been more appropriate.
That being said, I know this is a new restaurant & the staff looked nervous & stressed, so I do understand. The food was great & the people working there were kind. With better organization, communication, & customer recovery, this place could have a good have a good potential!

Nous attendons notre nourriture depuis plus d'une heure alors que nous avons déjà passé notre commande. Des personnes arrivées après nous ont déjà reçu leurs plats. Lorsque nous avons demandé à la serveuse, elle semblait avoir complètement oublié notre commande. Nous avons donc perdu une heure pour rien. Après on est just parti.C'était une expérience très décevante. Le restaurant devrait mieux former son personnel afin d'assurer un service plus professionnel.

We waited for an hour after ordering. At 30 minutes, we asked the waitress for answers only to get a brief notice that the food was on thr way (which was not). Later on, we asked another waitress to discover the fact that our order wasn't even placed. Even thought they said they had a system problem, we high doubt the excuse since the group of person that came in were eating pleasantly while we were unnoticed & simply drinking water.

The food was delicious & I was new to this specialty cuisine. Service was efficient & friendly.
Overall great experience & I've been 3 times now. Both lunch & dinner😆😆😆
