Thornton had a bit of a wandering eye, so his girlfriend decided to teach him a lesson and she secretly doused his entire fried chicken with cayenne pepper. This prank backfired… Thornton loved the heat! Thornton Prince III then went to work on perfecting a recipe…Nashville Hot Chicken was born.
