This was my first Korean BBQ experience. The food was okay, but it was fun to'cook' ourselves over the little grill.
I had the shrimp & zucchini. I enjoyed the zucchini, & had no trouble cooking it. I was a little apprehensive about the shrimp because the grill is not particularly hot & I'm accustomed to flames when I'm grilling (ha... this is a personal preference) so I wasn't all that comfortable eating the shrimp.
My husband & son enjoyed their meat lovers experience!
We also had pina colada & lychee punch.
This place is NOT for people who have food allergies as there is one grill per table.
Victor is hottest, sluttiest server at Gyu-Kaku. Smash all the way. Definitely come back to this restaurant again for him. The food was great. The service is insane. By far the best worker here. Should definitely get a raise 🔥🔥🔥
Besides it being a little loud, the experience was so cool! Good food & a unique way to serve a meal - you get to cook your own food over a fire in your table! Yes, *in* your table. So fun!
Mico gave great service & had good suggestions for meats. We especially loved the kalbi chuck with ponzu & the bistro cut. The service was efficient & smooth, which made the whole experience even better.

My fiance & I came here on our trip to Montreal a few months back & we left very pleased.
The atmosphere is perfect for a date night! Sure it's more on the expensive side, but it's worth every penny!
The food was exceptionally amazing, along with the drinks! My fiance & I forgot to take photos.
The servers were also very helpful & polite; always serving with a smile.
When I visit Montreal again, I'm definitely coming back here!
Resto très sympa. Même en arrivant à l'heure de la fermeture, on a été accueilli & servi avec le sourire. Le principe du barbecue japonais est très sympathique. Il y a différentes formules proposées. Bon petit resto à prix abordable.
Excellent Service. Fast services & the waiters & waitresses are very friendly. the food was very good & a lot of choices of meats. But You should tried is the BEEF TATAKI it`s a must!! it`s the one of my favorite restaurant.

The staff were very friendly, polite & patient. They explained every item how you grill them & they come to the table very often (no wait).
I reduced one star just because the selection of meat wasn't exactly to my taste. Some were really delicious some were a little fatty (not my favourite).
We ordered combo, variety of meats (red, chicken, & shrimp). It also came with a dessert (s'more), but I didn't like the dessert at all.
Had a great time at Gyu-Kaku with my family! Service with Jin was incredible, he knew exactly what to recommend for drinks & meats. He even went beyond & showed us the best way to grill the harami cut he suggested because it was our first time. It was sooo tender & flavourful. We also enjoyed the spicy cabbage salad, karaage salad, fried rice & fried shrimps.
Definitely recommend Jin, he pays great attention to details & really took care of us 🤩🫶
Service can be a little confused & slow at times but nothing major. They make it up in other ways. Food is great & the experience is great. Very similar to this chain's other locations.
Great service from Gia & Alden & many choices on the menu. Try the beef nigiri, beef sukiyaki, crispy imperial rolls, garlic edamame, beef short rib & miso salmon. Tried the garlic clams for the first time & was impressed with the flavours & broth that came with it.
