Meat is of great quality. Service was a bit slow & price is hefty, although the portions were enough for us.
Thank you Ema for the awesome lunch!! She recommended the Gah Umakara beef with rice meal, absolutely amazing 🤤. Very friendly, & honest! Takeout was sub $20 & I couldn't finish the whole meal in one sitting. Super impressed.
Amazing. All perfect. The food fantastic. Excelent service. & the place pretty & the have sake of flavours. Was delicious
This is such an amazing place to eat. The vibe is good, the servers are quick & helpful & the food is just amazing. I opted to try the wagyu & what an experience. It's not meant for every day but certainly should be tried once. An unequal texture
I recently dined at Gyu-Kaku, a Japanese BBQ haven, & the experience left me delighted. The ambiance was inviting, & the overall setting of the place added to the enjoyment of our evening. Opting for the combo for 4 people, along with two varieties of sushi & a delightful pichet of Sakura, our taste buds were in for a treat. The food was not only delicious but also served in portions that were just right for our party of four. The combination of grilling our own meats at the table & savoring the sushi added a dynamic aspect to the meal, making it interactive & engaging. The standout, however, was the Sakura cocktail pichet. Not only was it exceptionally good, but the size of the pichet was also generous, ensuring that our glasses were always filled, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening. In summary, my overall experience at Gyu-Kaku was nothing short of delightful. The delectable food, pleasant ambiance, & the standout Sakura cocktail made it an evening to remember. I would highly recommend Gyu-Kaku to anyone looking for a Japanese BBQ experience that ticks all the boxes.
I can suggest this any day for the Japanese BBQ... every thing we ordered was really good Inclusive of drinks.
Came here with my friends to celebrate my birthday & I really enjoyed it! We got the 6 person course menu which made it so much easier since we didn't have to pick anything, they just brought out the food to us & it kept coming. I wasn't prepared for the amount of food they served. Every service, I thought "surely this is the last one" & it wasn't! It's not all you can eat but it will feel like it. Got to try such a great variety of pork, beef, shrimp, dumplings, vegetables, salad, torched sushi, & more! Everything was delicious & we all had enough to eat. My favourites were the Edamame & Gyu-Sushi entree, the short rib, the filet mignon, the premium sirloin, the Yaki-Shabu beef, & the s'mores for dessert! The food is flavourful & tasty, the meats are well seasoned, The sauces on the side compliment everything really well (Sweet, soy, & spicy). Both sides of the table got food so no awkward reaching across to get a taste of everything. The service was very good as well! Very considerate & attentive, one of my friends was going to be late so they waited to bring out their soup so it wouldn't be cold on the table, It would be fresh. The price is very reasonable for the 6 person course menu considering the quality of the meat & the quantity of food you will be getting! Seating was also comfortable & easily accommodated 6 with everyone being able to access the grill. I reserved by phone & we had no issues getting our table!
Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ, Crescent St: A Must-Visit Gyu-Kaku on Crescent Street earns a glowing five stars for its authentic grilling experience. The staff are welcoming, contributing to the overall positive atmosphere. Their rewards system is a clever touch, ensuring you'll want to come back. Highlights for me included the irresistibly creamy corn & the perfectly marinated beef flank. It's a spot that's got the formula down for both returning patrons & first-timers alike.
Our first time there on the 5th of feb was AMAZING. The waiter who i sadly can't remember his name- he was tall i think his name started with an A? Aldon? Not sure- took the time to explain the menu & give his recommendations & everything went smoothly. The second time though on the 18th of feb was a disaster. The waiter just gave us the menus & was no where to be found. Someone else took our orders & then someone else gave us the food & the someone else gave us the check & the machine happened to be with another person. By the time we were leaving, our waiter finally showed up running after us asking if we paid the bill? I didn't see the waiter running after anyone else but us. Not sure is it a racial thing or not. It was very messy & disappointing. I had a reservation booked both times.
While it is on the pricey side, you definitely get what you pay for. The flavouring in the meat was AMAZING & the sushis did not fail to amaze. The garlic noodles were also very addicting. It is definitely a place for very special occasions when you would like to splurge, but OH IS IT WORTH IT.
Food was great, don't let the waiter fool you though, you will have plenty enough food for 2 by taking the 2 person menu. Service was really not great though, felt like he was really trying to push us to just spend more for no reason, then was rude when getting the bill.
Rien à dire! C'était super bon & on en a eu assez pour notre argent. (Nous étions 5 & avons pris le menu pour 4 personnes). J'y retourne!
