This place always has good food & environment. The staff is always happy & accommodating. Aiden provided an excellent service even when it was a busy xmas day. Thanks! Besides the meats, the salad is very good.
Amazing restaurant! My husband & I went there for dinner on a Friday night around 8 p.m. The place was busy, but we were pleasantly surprised by the short wait time-our table was ready in just 10 minutes. The service was excellent, the food was absolutely delicious, & the atmosphere was warm & inviting. In addition to our main dishes, we decided to try two desserts: the Petite Gateau & the S'mores. While the S'mores were delightful, I wasn't a fan of the Petite Gateau-it had a subtle coconut aftertaste that didn't suit my personal preference. That small detail aside, everything else exceeded our expectations, & we had a fantastic dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant & can't wait to return!
Très bonne expérience dans ce restaurant de BBQ JAPONAIS. Nous étions 4 & avons pris le Menu à partager. Les viandes sont variées, les marinades à tomber par terre & nous avons eu largement de quoi manger. La bouteille de Vin est vraiment pas cher comparer à d'autres restaurant, vous pouvez vous faire plaisir à moindre cout. Le personnel est à l'écoute & propose un service de qualité. Cependant réservation obligatoire & pensez à vous y prendre à l'avance !

I had a great experience at Gyu-Kaku! The atmosphere was nice, & the staff was super friendly & attentive. The food was delicious & well-prepared. Overall, a wonderful place to enjoy a meal.
i just the best time there!! it was my first time trying a Japanese bbq & I was not disappointed! the food was amazing & the staff so nice. can't wait to be back!!
Parfait endroit pour fêter sa fête, bonne ambiance & très bon service de la part de Aldin! Viandes bonne & fraîches, pas trop cher pour un groupe de 12! Je recommandes !
Updated review 2024: What used to be the best Japanese BBQ in Montreal is changing. As a regular at Gyu-Kaku, visiting about 30 times a year, here's my review. The quality of the meat is not what it used to be. On November 2nd, the prime kalbi was awful - it wasn't the beautiful marbled slices shown in the menu image & what we usually receive. The pork was only fat, with no meat at all. Of course, we expect some fat on pork slices, but not just fat. The filet mignon seemed to have soaked in a previously used, unwashed plate that might have held seafood. The harami beef isn't what it used to be either: we often encounter big nerves in the meat. The portions of kimchi have also become tiny. In addition, the service is no longer of the same quality. Employees no longer greet us in Japanese when we arrive or leave. The service is slower than before, & it seems to be simply because they are understaffed. The servers are kind & doing their best - it's clear the issue seems to come from management. In short, many things have changed. Each time, we go back thinking it was just bad luck, but at this point, despite our 3,000 points in the app, we'll need to opt for a BBQ spot where the meat is quality, like Korean BBQ Daldongnae, just down the street. We miss our old Gyu Kaku experience. 😩 Previous review: Best Japanese BBQ in town! Authentic! You go to Gyu Kaku in Tokyo & it's ALMOST the same except for the wagyu meat obviously.
Belle découverte pour ce restaurant japonais barbecue ! C était succulent & très convivial on a passé un très bon moment ! Nous avons pris le menu pour4 ave. Une quantité de plats divers & variés c était très bon on s est régale ! Service impeccable !
