Bon service. La décoration est très typique d'un diner canadien, avec des petits juke-box sur les tables. Je suis venue pour la poutine, qui serait une des meilleures selon les avis de locaux sur les réseaux sociaux. Le fromage était définitivement déjà passé au frigo (pas de skouik!) & je trouvais qu'il manquait de sauce sur la poutine à mon goût. Les personnes à ma table ont pris autres choses (hamburger, saumon grillé, salade grecque) & n'ont pas non plus été convaincues. C'est peut-être une histoire de papilles & d'habitudes, mais je ne recommanderais pas cet endroit pour une poutine.

Pretty good food, incredibly huge portions, & decently reasonable pricing. Greenspot has been around for ages & it's going to outlive me for sure. Definitely enjoyed my meal there & have definitely enjoyed a lots of other visits in the past. In a strange way, it's one of those generational spots as this was a place that my parents used to go in college & now me & other family members in the generations after. Looking forward to a return trip next time I'm back in Montreal, especially for breakfast as the menu for breakfast is ridiculously huge. Added bonus, the Atwater market just around the corner so it's easier to make it into a whole event.

I was in town for a business trip & noticed this place was conveniently located near my meeting, so I decided to give it a try. Since it was my first visit, I went with the classics: a lean Montreal smoked meat sandwich & a small poutine. I also asked for extra pickles.
The cashier was friendly & even commented that I had made a great choice. While waiting for my takeout order, I got a good feel for the restaurant-the atmosphere was welcoming, & both the staff & customers seemed genuinely friendly.
The smoked meat sandwich was outstanding. The meat was tender & flavorful, & they were generous with the pickles, which were crisp & delicious. The poutine was a little on the salty side for my taste, but it was still very tasty.
I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town, & I think I'll be trying one of their famous hot dogs.
