It was my first night on my first-ever trip to Montreal (back in November 2025), & a friend of mine back home (who is Montreal born & raised) highly recommended that I should go here for a bite to eat.
After getting checked into my hotel room earlier in the evening, I decided to make this my first stop.
After my server led me to a table by the TV, I ordered the St-Henri poutine & an orange pop. The food was served quicker than I expected (which is not a bad thing) & I then proceeded to do what many Montrealers must have done over many decades while in here, enjoy my poutine while watching the Montreal Canadiens on TV.... 😊😁
The food was fantastic, & Erin the server's attentiveness was great too.
All in all, a very enjoyable experience on my first night in Montreal!
Excellente adresse pour de la viande fumée à Montréal. Le Green Spot est un classique du Sud-Ouest, avec une viande fumée savoureuse, tendre & bien assaisonnée, servie en portions généreuses. Le pain est frais, les accompagnements simples & efficaces, exactement comme on l'aime.
L'ambiance est authentique, sans prétention, & le service est rapide & sympathique. C'est le genre d'endroit où on revient pour le goût, la constance & le côté réconfortant.
Un incontournable pour les amateurs de smoked meat dans le Sud-Ouest de Montréal. Une valeur sûre.
This is a great quick & cheap spot to have some nice comfort food & enjoy an authentic dinner experience. The service was quick & friendly & the menu has a huge variety of options.

Best poutine hands down in Montreal!!!
I have come here the entirety of my studies for a hearty meal after long hours at the library, & they never disappoint.
The preparation is quick, the meal is warm & delicious, & they don't hesitate to go heavy on the cheese & the sauce.
I particularly like the Bonheur D'Occasion, it is my favorite by far. I highly recommend for those who want a twist on the classic but do not eat meat!
Lovely people, lovely food, lovely place. Great for a dinner between friends or family to warm up from the winter.
Le patron du matin de la fin de semaine il n'a pas de façon il fait de la discrimination pour changer de place c'était la serveuse qui avait eu l'idée de nous changer de place & le patron à crier après la serveuse pour le changement de place & que c'est la première fois que je vois ça d'habitude n'importe quel resto nous laisse faire pour changer de place si nous sommes pas confortable la première fois que je vois un patron chicaner pour le changement de place.
