While the dining environment is consistently described as lively and charming, service levels can vary, though many guests highlight the fast, friendly, and professional nature of the staff. I've been here multiple times for breakfast, brunch, dinner, & of course their amazing poutines. Greenspot is definitely my go-to neighborhood diner.
The prices are fair, the portions are big, & the food always tastes fresh. You always leave satisfied. I've tried several of their poutines & they all slap. The hot dogs are also crazy good.
The staff are always nice & friendly too. Even on busy weekend mornings when the place is packed, they still make an effort to serve you with a smile & bring you what you need as quickly as possible.
If you're looking for a bite in the area, Greenspot is always a consistent & safe choice. Lovely place!
Came here for the first time today with my family after many times passing by… excellent, super friendly staff & atmosphere & we loved our food. Thanks, Yola & Costa - we'll definitely be back!
Read online they had the best burgers & fries in town, so I wanted to try it. Trés bien! Merci! I'm not normally into fries but I attempted to finish these because they're better than most places offer! I bet the poutine's as good as they say, based on these fries.
Love the food, I had a poutine which was up there one of the best I've had. Fries have to be real, not frozen, & they are.
My son had a club sandwich which was average, not bad, not special.
The place is so busy, the wait Sunday for lunch was long.
The people working there are friendly, or waitress was stellar.
Try this place but not Sunday for lunch😉.
I tried the hot dogs & they were actually very good & tasty. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with the poutine. I didn't really like the cheese curds-they were very hard-& the fries were quite mushy.
If I come back, I would probably stick to the hot dogs or try some of the other menu items. I was also a bit disappointed with the customer service, as the person taking the order didn't seem very friendly.
Overall, the hot dogs were the highlight of my visit.
Love the ambience. Think of it as 50s family-style diner. My friends love eating here & it was my first time coming here. Prices are reasonable & portion wise, pretty good. The chop-chop poutine wasn't too salty & the smoked meat was good. Carrot cake isn't too sweet, moist, but for those who are allergic to nuts, beware as they have walnuts!
What I ordered was small chop-chop poutine ($12.75 CAD approx) + carrot cake ($6.75 CAD approx) + coke ($3.75 CAD approx).
Highly recommend RSVP in advanced if coming in a bigger group, but recommend this place for family-style brunches & diners.
The St. Henri burger was delicious! Will definitely have to come back again to try out other items but my friend had some smoked meat & enjoyed it as well.
My wife & I stopped by on a Monday a few minutes before 11:00 & just missed the breakfast menu that ended at 11:00.
Missing the breakfast menu my wife still ordered an Omlete that even from my side of the table looked very underwelming, as she dug in she lost her appetite & only ate less that 1/2 of her omlette simply because it tasted less than ordinary. Her plate came with french fries that were barely warm to the touch.
I on the other hand indulged on a 10' steak & smoked meat sub. Unfortunately there was so much oily dressing thats all I tasted, no taste to the steak & absolutely no taste to what little smoked meat was in my sandwich. It was so bad it was necessary to disect my sandwich & remove the top 1/2 of the bread wich was drenched in oil. I also ordered a side of french fries & simular to my wifes fries mine were also just warm to the touch.
On a brighter note our waitress was very nice & eagarly topped up our coffee's, her colleque host was also very friendly.
Unfortunately I dont know how this establishment has recieved so many positive recommendations, we will not be back!
& honestly, the overhaul condition & appearance of this place is old & has charm, however it doesnt mean the restaurant has to appear dirty, take a look at the filth of those old music selectors at each booth.
