Rotten assorted sandwiches 2 out of 3 times.
A very serious matter & this issue will be reported.

On August 19th, I purchased a pack with a'Best Before' date of the same day. The back row was visibly stale & dry, & the food smelled off-despite staff claiming they were made that morning. When I brought this up after my first purchase & opened the package to check, I was rudely told I had to pay if I touched it. I paid without issue, & because my second purchase was fine, I assumed the first was just a mistake.

Today was my third purchase, & once again, the food was spoiled. Fool me once, but selling food that is clearly days old is unacceptable. They keep old stock-including sandwiches, pizza, & deli meats-in display counters that aren't cold enough, especially for summer. Keeping overnight stock to pass off as fresh the next day is a serious health hazard & deeply unethical.

Fix your storage practices & food safety, or you shouldn't be in business.

Excellente pâtisserie ! Les produits sont délicieux & de très bonne qualité. Je tiens particulièrement à remercier Chanel pour son accueil chaleureux. Elle a pris le temps de bien me conseiller & de m'expliquer les différents produits avec beaucoup de gentillesse & de professionnalisme. Une très belle expérience, je recommande vivement cette pâtisserie !

I'm honestly very disappointed with my experience. I specifically asked if the cakes were freshly made because I was looking for a fresh birthday cake, & I was told yes. I ended up spending around $50 for a small cake, which is quite expensive, so I expected the quality to match the price.

Unfortunately, the cake did not taste fresh at all. The bread/layers were very hard & had more of a sandwich-bread texture than a soft, fresh cake. The taste was also not enjoyable for me.

If I wanted a frozen or low-quality cake, I could have bought one from Walmart for around $10. I chose to spend $50 at a bakery specifically because I expected a genuinely fresh & better-quality cake.

Very disappointed, especially because it was for a birthday. I hope the bakery can be more transparent about how the cakes are prepared & improve the quality.

J'ai commandé un gâteau thématique Seigneur des Anneaux il y a quelques semaines & j'ai été complètement époustouflée par le résultat!!

Non seulement c'est le plus beau gâteau que j'aie jamais vu, il goûtait le ciel!!!! De plus, la propriétaire de Gourmet Aldo a été tellement gentille, attentionnée & accommodante avec ma demande.

C'est certain que je vais retourner la voir pour mon prochain gâteau! (& leur crème glacée est super bonne aussi!)

Their pastries honestly don't taste that good. I tasted way better cakes & patisserie. My experiences with their service have been even more disappointing & i even spoke to them in french haha.

For Mother's Day, I ordered an apple pie a week in advance. When I came to pick it up on the holiday, I found that the apples in the filling were completely undercooked & extremely hard. I was honestly shocked & asked if it was a joke.

Despite that experience, I decided to give them another chance for an upcoming birthday & gave them plenty of time to prepare the order. When I was asked to make a deposit, I explained that my mother had already made a $20 deposit under another name & told them to cancel my order. I believed that was clearly understood.

However, when the day came, I was told they had nothing regarding my order. Then, all of a sudden, I started receiving random calls from Gourmet Aldo telling me that I had a cake waiting for me, as if the whole situation were some kind of joke.

This is not how you treat customers. Communication & organization matter, especially when customers are placing orders in advance for important occasions.

Very disappointing experience. GROW UP & take your customers seriously.

Une pure merveille signée Gourmet Aldo !On a offert un gâteau de chez Gourmet Aldo pour le mariage d'une amie & c'était le sans-faute absolu. Un immense merci à la patronne pour son écoute, sa gentillesse & nos supers échanges qui ont permis de créer le gâteau parfait.Visuellement, il était juste magnifique, super moderne & soigné. & au moment de la dégustation, la grosse claque : un goût de folie, super léger & fin en bouche. La mariée & tous les invités ont été complètement bluffés. Allez-y les yeux fermés, l'équipe assure du début à la fin !
