Gon Bui is a new Chinese resto-bar inspired by the lost temples in China. Gon Bui means 'Cheers' in Cantonese. We create our own new-Asian tapas dishes, inspired from traditional with a playful twist.
Gon Bui Restaurant Bar delivers a stylish, welcoming atmosphere with moody lighting, chic decor and a fortune tree that adds a memorable touch for any occasion. The menu blends Chinese inspired flavors with contemporary twists and offers plenty of shareable plates that are flavorful, well presented and often praised for freshness. Ce fut une très belle découverte culinaire d'un mélange de cuisine chinoise & canadienne.
Nous avons passer un bon moment en famille & nous y reviendrons très certainement.
La serveuse très gentille & le service assez rapide!
Les plats suggéré sorte de l'ordinaire & sont absolument délicieux!
Perso nous avons adorée en particulier les calmars frits & tous était franchement une découverte gustative des plus agréable!
Je recommande ce resto à tous ceux qui ont envie de découvrir des nouveaux plats & qui sont tout près du carrefour de laval ou qui passe par la comme nous ce soir.
To my surprise we were told this is a'tapas' style menu. At 18-30$ per item for a'tapas' menu considering the quantity we received is pretty disappointing.
20$ for 4 small shrimp or beef dumplings, 18$ for 5 (tempura-ish) wings. You'll have to order half the menu easily. The mains which were also small portions are 27-60$ each.
This tapas concept seems to be a new branding trend to overcharge & underdeliver.
The food was Ok, I did not enjoy anything in particular, just run of the mill chain restaurant quality stuff.
On another note, the drinks were really good!
There was a wide selection & they were very creative.
Service was good until we finished our last plate & we had to play find a waiter for the bill.
The concept is nice but there needs to be some solid improvements in service & value.
Would I consider coming back, not really

We had a great experience with this tapas-style restaurant. The food we had was delicious & the portions very reasonable (we took 6 portions for 2 people & we had leftovers; 4 portions would have been enough) & the cocktails are equally delicious & beautifully presented. Staff is really friendly & even offered us a treat on the house at the end. I would highly recommend for a date night.
Staff was friendly & helped newcomers (us) selecting food.
It is better to share food with at least one person.
Food was amazing (specifically the hong joy curry) except for one brocoli dish. We ate the curry before hand so it could have affected the taste of the brocoli.
Honestly did not expect it! It was an ingenious fusion of flavours! The deco is great & even has a meaningful purpose! Staff was amazing! Im not usually a fan of red meat but their steak was amazing! & i loved the idea of the pad thai flavours with the calamari.

I was staying at the Hilton next door & I wasn't expecting what I got when I came here. This place such an amazing fusion food experience. The food is unique, tastes amazing & at a very fair price. The atmosphere here is also superb. I expect I will see this place on the Michelin guide soon. So come before it gets so popular you can't get in.
Went for brunch. The food was outstanding, very tasty & unique. Had the wonton soup, fried beef dumbling, croquette & general tao waffle. All very good. Drinks are amazing, had the amaretto sour, spicy margarita, cappuccino & the rice lager, once again, delicious. Had a great experience. Highly recommended

Cela fait quelques fois que j'y vais & je ne suis jamais déçue! La nourriture est excellente & la présentation aussi ! Le service est impeccable!!! Le garçon qui nous servait était super gentil & amical ! Le barman venait nous porter nos cocktails à la table & lui aussi était vraiment très gentil! J'adore cet endroit & je le recommande x1000! Merci beaucoup :)
Service was great, food was great, but the POS is still set to tip after the taxes. This should have been corrected several weeks ago when the law came into effect.
