Gon Bui is a new Chinese resto-bar inspired by the lost temples in China. Gon Bui means 'Cheers' in Cantonese. We create our own new-Asian tapas dishes, inspired from traditional with a playful twist.
Gon Bui Restaurant Bar delivers a stylish, welcoming atmosphere with moody lighting, chic decor and a fortune tree that adds a memorable touch for any occasion. The menu blends Chinese inspired flavors with contemporary twists and offers plenty of shareable plates that are flavorful, well presented and often praised for freshness. Cocktails are inventive and varied, with many options and some standout signatures that complement the bold flavors. The service is described as friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, helping guests navigate and enjoy their meals, though a few notes about busy times mention occasional delays. The vibe is lively and social, whether brunch, night out with friends or date night, with music and a vibrant yet comfortable environment. This Laval favorite is repeatedly cited for high quality food and drinks, warm hospitality and a decor that makes it a standout spot worth returning to.
I feel like the restaurant reduced in quality from the last time I came, food wasn't as good & very small in portions, was still hungry after. also they charged us for a birthday dessert which most restaurants offer it on the house
We have already been here for dinner when it opened & loved it. Today we came to try out the brunch...everything was delicious & it was a different brunch experience compared to the regular places!! Strongly recommend!
Je suis allée 2 fois pour le brunch & c'était excellent. C'était le même serveur à chaque fois & il était extrêmement gentil, serviable & professionnel. Une vrai perle comme personne. Ça a vraiment rendue toute l'expérience exceptionnelle. Bravo!
Went here on Thursday night & it was my first time. Restaurant was considerably full . We only had one waiter in the entire restaurant that night so service gets a 3. He was good himself but it was a challenge for him to get to all tables in good time. Chinese tapas style food, great for sharing & getting to taste a few items on the menu. They have a few specials on certain days of the week. Food was good, well presented & the interior was nicely done. Definitely will be back to try other items off the menu. Had the bang bang cauliflower, Calamari, shrimp dumpling & lamb chops. Lamb chops were a little lacking in flavour marination & it needed an extra punch but would have been great. Had the Paloma which was also good.
Been to brunch a few times in the past few years & enjoyed it very much. The diner experience was not comparable. Expensive, way too simple dishes, such a disconnect from their brunch menu.
Came for supper. The food is good. More on the pricey side for the quantity you get. The wait for our order was long - up to 45 min - although the restaurant was half empty.
