We took ourselves to the new Gio's in St Sauveur. It was a lovely night out. The new building is great. I'm not a big fan of TV's in restaurants, especially one that's supposed to offer a culinary experience. It kills the ambience for me. But hey, that's totally personal, obviously.
Our multiple servers were lovely & welcoming. The food was relatively quick considering how busy it was. I took the pizza Frutti du Mare. It tasted wonderful… but I was surprised how small it was. It looked about an 8 inch pizza (for $30!?) But it was fully loaded & the taste did not disappoint.
I loved the old Gio's too but I do think they have evolved beautifully into the new vibe with this building. I would definitely recommend!!

Sorry, but Lasagna was cold inside, & it was bland. Salmon was very good, it was described in the menu with broccoli but came with mushrooms. My daughter hates mushrooms . The pizza was very good & tasty.

Rather disappointing visit.
We managed to get a seat out back on the terrace, which was quite nice.
I ordered a Margarita which was simply awful. So sweet, hardly any taste of tequila & tasted more like a cocktail mix from the grocery store. Garnished with a lemon…
My wife & i shared a pizza which a frozen pizza would have been better. I ordered a beer after the margarita & the beer never came. Empty margarita glass sat on the table for about 30 minutes.
We usually come in the summer so this was our first time in winter. Same excellent service as usual. The pasta dishes & pizzas are what my family loves. It was a bit tight between tables & restaurant was a bit chilly so maybe bring a warm top or shawl to cover up.
Le souper etait super bien , ca me rappel les bonnes pates de rome & les pizza ❤️ juste un détail qui dérange le staff n'est pas trop accueillant trop froid

Wow! Quelle belle découverte! Un endroit relaxant où il est bon de passer du temps avec famille & amis. Nous étions un groupe de 7 & tous les plats étaient supers bons: Pizza, Rotolo (omg!), côte de boeuf, cannelloni, fettuccine, bruscetta, soupe, escargots, pain à l'ail, fettucini, poisson...tout cela avec du vino! Nous y retournerons c'est certain!🫶
Excellent service & food, & we really enjoyed the vibe of this place. Also, the team was friendly, knowledgeable, & helpful about gluten free dietary restrictions. Gio's does not offer gluten free pasta, pizza crust, or bread. But there were multiple entrees on the menu that could be modified to make them gluten free. I had the chicken florentine with mixed veggies & it was terrific, & had zero issues with cross contamination. We sat on the terrace, aka the front porch of the charming, historic home. Though the indoor seating & great patio out back (with a water feature) also looked inviting.
Jeudi 18 juillet 2024 - quel gaspillage d'argent ce midi, nous étions quatre pour le lunch, moules & frites froides, pizza ultra cuite & escargots comme du caoutchouc. Plus jamais GIOS à St-Sauveur.
Très belle expérience. Nous avons très bien mangé, service excellent, cadre super agréable. Peut-être un peu bruyant, & toilettes trop peu nombreuses, mais c'est dû à la configuration des lieux, dans une maison ancienne. Les escargots en entrée étaient très bons, les pizzas aussi. J'y retournerai.
Belle soirée avec ambiance tranquille en salle à manger. Merci à Jordan pour son service impeccable & attentionné. Les moules & la pizza étaient absolument exquis !
Un beau souper en famille, calzones , pizzas & pâtes excellents & un très bon service.
Seul bémol, il faisait chaud dans la salle à manger en haut qui était comble.

Très bon service par Caroline notre serveuse. Nous avons tous aimé nos plats. Les pâtes fraiches & la pizza délicieuse. Les prix très abordables. Bon vin & bonne compagnie. Soirée très agréable.
